Avoided, naturally.I don't believe you were born here, no way. Come on man, be honest. Where did your parents come from? (of course you'll avoid this question)

I'm sorry Missy, Al Bundy ruined the experience for me.You would like my poutine. Fresh hand-cut fries, squeaky cheese curds and a slowly simmered beef gravy....
And I don't smother it in gravy like so many places do. Just enough gravy to melt the cheese and add a great flavour.![]()
Actually objectively, one has nothing to do with the other. For you. I guess I'm a bit more patriotic and genuinely care about my fellow residents despite their socioeconomically status.
Yes avoided because your comment was foolish to imply that someone that didn't cry "woe is me" about Canada on the regular, wasn't born here.Avoided, naturally.
So were you born here? Or when did you come here?Yes avoided because your comment was foolish to imply that someone that didn't cry "woe is me" about Canada on the regular, wasn't born here.
It’s absolutely non of your business. Sheesh, some people and their toxic sense of entitlement!I don't believe you were born here, no way. Come on man, be honest. Where did your parents come from? (of course you'll avoid this question)
By Canada, you mean the new India?
At only 158 years old, it was a good run.
What would the British think about their colony if they could see it now?
Truthfully, they probably couldn't care less considering that Britain is just a group of Muslim nations now.
What are you going on with your "toxic sense of entitlement"? Are you just throwing around the latest catch phrases of the past few years, or just trying to be a pseudo-intellectual?It’s absolutely non of your business. Sheesh, some people and their toxic sense of entitlement!
Your “toxic sense of entitlement“ is thinking anyone has to answer your questions on an anonymous board just because you demanded. What are you going on with your "toxic sense of entitlement"? My point with Oatmeal is I find it strange that someone who I assume is Canadian born wouldn't care about any Canadian's well being first over new immigrants of the past 20 years or saying how great Canada is right now.
I don't care if they're Indian or Ukrainian, they are last for me in terms of who our government should be helping first. For me it has to be Canadians first, whether they're white, black, yellow, brown, Canadians first --- people who worked their asses off and paid into the system for their entire lives and may need the help now and are not getting it because our trusted Government has prioritized giving vast more amount of money to the newbies.
He doesn't have to answer, but him being smug about it https://terb.cc/xenforo/threads/happy-canada-day.891881/post-9013082 naaa, not cool, especially if you're actually someone that was born here and seeing what's happening to your (own) country, that's not it.Your “toxic sense of entitlement“ is thinking anyone has to answer your questions on an anonymous board just because you demanded.
Wow, sense of entitlement much.
Ahhhhh....How people can't see he's a globalist banker worth hundreds of millions is beyond me, but people on the "left" love him. You'd think they'd prefer someone who is one of them, not someone who is wayyyyy above them. Like Jagmeet Rolex wearing Singh.. .for the working class too. lol
Must be the free stuff they like getting.
Ahhhhh....
I can't keep track of everyone but are you a Trump supporter?
Celebrating Canada Day has nothing to do with homelessness or any other issue you may wish to highlight. My point with Oatmeal is I find it strange that someone who I assume is Canadian born wouldn't care about any Canadian's well being first over new immigrants of the past 20 years or saying how great Canada is right now.

Oh, ok. Was just checking. Seems like the Trump guys love it that he is a billionaire, but resent that Carney is rich. Not a billionaire AFAIK. Under $100m I imagine. They're all the same to me dude, don't like any of them.

To say Canada is not a great country, either because there are homeless people or because the country (and the world) is going through uncertain economic times, is shallow at best.
When you celebrate Canada Day you are celebrating Canada's self determination and formation which we can all agree is a good thing.
Also, your comments on who the government should be helping does not make any sense.
We neither have citizenship tiers nor a value ranking of Canadians in Canada, based on where they were born or when they came to Canada.

The government does not just give money to newbies.
I dont even know what payments you are referring to here, unless it is refugee payments which is minimal and in any case does not impact your entitlements.
The government helps you, to the extent that is legally mandated, based on criteria such as income levels, age etc and in certain cases like Employment Insurance, based on how much you paid into the system.
