On Mays' 90th, memories of the 'magic man'

Willie Mays celebrates his 90th birthday on Thursday. He is the oldest living Hall of Famer now. But he is so much more than that. Willie Mays is the greatest all-around player who ever lived, whose legendary career started at the Polo Grounds with the New York Giants in 1951.

I saw Mays go 3-5 in the second MLB game I attended, August 23, 1969 at Jarry Park.

He is probably the greatest all round baseball player of all time. There is nothing that he couldn't do (except maybe pitch and catch, but I wouldn't put it past him).

Mays was special. In my books it's between him and Aaron as the GOAT. Don't even mention Bonds in the same breath.........
