Nicolas Cage turns 55 today.

Some people may not like his style of acting, it's opera without music. To avoid getting tossed into jail by the IRS, he took on every shitty script he could get his hands on...and his awesomeness still shone through.

Haven't seen that film. I wonder if Matthew Modine and Sean Penn are getting ready to ambush him and give him a pink belly.

Mandy is like a locomotive, it starts very slow and builds to one of the most spectacular endings you'll ever see. Only Nicolas Cage could pull it off.

Hardly the greatest actor on the planet. But I did like him in Kiss of Death as Little Junior. Ruthless.

Good actor but its enough he's burned out, the same with Samuel Jackson, its enough with the angry "motherfucker" "motherfucker" scenes. I loved moonstruck but I think Cher outshined him. It's like an old rock band that refuses to retire even after they can't produce quality stuff.

Even in French, Nic Cage is awesome! Now that he doesn't have the IRS on his back anymore, he's going to do some great things.
