Respect given is respect earned. In the years I've been going to the Strip, I've never been treated bad. I've spent my share, and have and always will tip well. But then, I'm not treated like a customer either. To say the Strip should change this, or change that, is easier said than done. The bar has been there for a long time, as long as the doors are open, people will go in.
My point was you need to do more than just rely on people coming in if you want to be successful for the long term.
One thing I have noticed over the past few years is the attitude the customers are coming in with. (usually the younger crowd) Absolutly no respect, that in turn reflects off the dancers and staff. Many of these kids are coming in looking for the "extras" and expect it. Here's a reality check, it's a strip club. Some girls will, but those are the ones that don't last.
Aren't the extra's what the Strip is famous for??? Right or wrong that's the rep. they have. As for attitude, I agree that some patrons come in with a bad attitude but that doesn't make it right for the staff to take that out on everyone else.
As for the smoking issue ... This is Hamilton, ain't like there's a lot of fresh air around. I'd fully support action to allow smokers only bars. Keep all the anti-smokers out. Yes I smoke, because I choose to, if ya don't like the smoke ... stand upwind.
Ok...here comes a rant...
You are joking right??? We anti-smokers aren't upset because we simply don't like smelling like an ashtray, it's self preservation!!! There's no argument to be had here. You smoke...I suffer irrepairable damage to my body that could(and does) lead to an early grave. Have you seen the ad. with the lady who was a waitress for years and now has lung cancer even though she never smoked a day in her life???
I suppose it's her fault because she chose to work there right??? Just like all those old time miners who ended up with black lungs had a choice as well.
If you want to smoke, fine...do it where it hurts nobody else and voluntarily exempt yourself from any health care coverage that treats the long term effects of smoking. Now not only do I not have to worry about you affecting my health, I don't have to worry about taking care of you when you get sick...
Instead of these people bugging smokers, why don't they turn thier efforts to finding out what the government does with the 9 + billion they recieve in cigarette taxes every year.
