That was sinwar's plan from the beginning. Get as many Gazans as possible killed so that Israel would be demonized. It was in his notes. That's also why he and you kept waiting and waiting and waiting for a ceasefire instead of surrendering in a war that they had no chance of winning. Surrendering after 3 or 4 months would have saved 10s of thousands of Gazan lives. Look how many children died because of your strategy.
The wife beater's defence is getting wacko, now you are saying Sinwar outsmarted Netanyahu and Israel by getting them to kill him and commit genocide?

Own it, genocide was Netanyahu's plan and you've backed it from Oct 8.
You've declared it was 'smart' already.

Good thing most Jewish people aren't as genocidal and hate filled.

then how did he end up with so many hostages. The only reason they don't have MORE hostages, is the IDF killed scores of Hamas and their hostages as they drove back to Gaza.

I am not saying should. They just cannot be taken seriously. Bibi is willing to murder every last Palestinian. If you are gonna use terror to achieve your political goals, objectively BIBI is far more committed then the Hamas clowns
So if you think hamas shouldn't be taken seriously, who do you think should be representing the Palestinian people and what should they be doing to benefit their society?

Nonsense, the last time a Palestinian leader leader shook the hand of an Israeli President, the President was murdered by another Jew.. and later the Palestinian leader was murdered, also by jews. 👍
Yes, an Israeli extremist killed an Israeli president who wanted peace. That doesn't change the fact that every time there has been a deal proposed between 1937 and 2008, the Palestinian leadership rejected it.

Also, Arafat agreeing to the Oslo process led directly to the rise of Hamas because Hamas opposes peace and opposes anything that would lead to accepting the Jewish presence. But I'm sure you're okay with Hamas violently taking Gaza from the PA because of the PA's gradual moves towards peace.

That was a shitty deal.
Do you care to explain what was wrong with it?

Olmert's offer was more than compliant with what the UN and Arab League want yet Abbas walked away without even bothering to make a counter proposal.

Yes, there were massacres in Gaza in 2008-2009, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2019 and 2021.
In 2022 settlers stormed the Al Aqsa, the same way that started Hamas responding in Oct 2023.
...
First, you intentionally ignore that every conflict in Gaza started with Hamas/PIJ attacks and in every case, Israel waited before eventually having to respond.

Second, you keep saying you want equal rights yet you still push the extreme Islamist propaganda that some Jews walking around their holiest site as approved by the Jordanian WAQF was an assault.

The wife beater's defence...
So the interviews in the NYT where Hamas leaders admitted it don't mean anything? How about the one Hamas member who recently said that if he knew the Israeli response, we wouldn't have backed Oct 7 who was then forced to retract his statement by the rest of Hamas?

So praising hamas for taking civilian hostages then pushing a bullshit conspiracy theory to defend them.

Some Hamas fighters chose to take hostages. Others chose to rape and/or kill them.

Camp David was Barak not Olmert. There were many reasons why the Olmert offer was unacceptable, the main one being the pressure tactics of a slimy used car salesman to try and get him to sign it.

There has never been an honest and fair deal to end the occupation of Palestine.
Which is why the UN stepped in.

You still won't accept that the occupation is illegal and that the world backs the two state solution you abhor.
