How stupid is this, Laraque asked for it and the Habs said no, rumour has it either the Habs want Kovalev back or he wants to come back. I have to admit he looks awkward in a Sens uniform, he seemed to fit in in Montreal, eccentric guy in an eccentric city.

But should you say no to one of you own players in favour of a player on another team? Seems wierd.

Kovalev has made it 100% clear that he wants to return to play in Montreal and retire as hab. He has mentioned it on at least two occassions.

Obviously the comments weren't taken that well in Ottawa.

I think when he gets more comfy in Ottawa he like it, plus Montreal is on the way down big time, Gainey fired sometime this year, terrible off season moves. Kovalev probably plays two years in Ottawa, then goes back. Laraque must feel like he's worthless.
