HP's touchpad is selling even worse than RIM's. (I didn't think that that was possible.)

They announced that they were ceasing production on Friday I believe. Also, they are looking to sell off their PC division (which I thought was the largest manufacturer of PCs in the world).

Clearly margins are razor thin or even nonexistant in HP Land.

And their stock promptly tanked 20%.

Mind you, HP has been in this position before. All this has happened before and will happen again.

Someone on the radio was saying it's a great deal for someone who wants to check their e-mail or surf the net in bed but then someone else pointed out that support will be cut off shortly and then it won't be long before it can't function properly in the ever-changing world of technology.

i picked one up last night on the staples website. hopefully it goes through. i checked the website again this morning and it says they're out of stock. i just checked again and they're of the website.

i'm wondering if there could be some underground movement to hack these. overall they weren't bad. just a tough market for them right now.

my order will probably get canceled as well but I ordered the 32GB one off the HP website for 150... (500 before price adjustment) Good deal for a email checker, agenda, time waster etc... better than my 2 inch iphone and you cant go wrong for 150 (or 100 for the 16gb model)
