I swear by Fit4less. They have no fitness classes, pools, saunas, personal trainers and other fancy stuff, but all they equipment you could want, and the price is right. By getting rid of fancy extras, they keep it affordable
Don’t bother they are all expensive places when you can literally exercise for free!
Invest Ottawa can help you with market data. You could also try testing the market with some fitness pop-ups like a bootcamp in the park or running a class through a city rec centre to gage interest.
if you have never been to the gym before, i strongly advise getting a Personal Trainer. Yes, it's expensive but i see so many guys just waist there time with no real progress for years!!
I believe that the OP was asking for recommendations FOR a gym, not for STARTING a gym.
That makes more sense!Also the most expensive, by far. It costs a lot of $$$$$$ to maintain all that.
Sadly there are a lot of personal trainers who are beyond useless. Sadly as someone who is new, you will never know.
Talking to a married working mother at the gym. She paid a fortune for a program and eating plan. No one on one, just a program.
She wanted to tone up a bit. The program had her going to the gym for several hours 6 times a fucking week and eating some hard core and probably unhealthy and bothersome bullshit.
For toning.
What was really going on is, dude just gave her the same program he gave everyone else and sold it as a custom job and charged her custom rates.
I am guessing she didn't stick with it, the plan was stressing her out as she was very busy.
I've heard other stunned things in real life from personal trainers, never mind the shit that comes from the fitness influencer crowd.
Same issue with financial planning. I sent to a seminar that was pushing people to leverage to the max and giving all sorts of out of context information and cherry picked data to back it up. I think it was investers group.
I'd recommend just buying a small half rack or power rack and just working out at home. A lot cheaper, and way easier to focus. No waiting on any machines. There are very small racks you can buy these days, even ones that fold up onto a wall if you're really limited with space.
Anyone else here wonder if they're going to run into one of those fit beautiful women they see at the gym at Club Alpha or something sometime?
I see women at Fit4less who are absolutely stunning. Some of them might be working at a spa for all I know. But I've never seen anyone I recognized as being a MA.
