Saw him at the Wayne Gretzky Classic in Collingwood. He was nodding off, slurring and having trouble standing. Draw your own conclusions. I did.

He may be a buffoon but this time I agree with Don Cherry. It was a selfish move on Gretzky's part to resign. I'm also tired of all the butt kissing Gretzky gets, listening to Nick Kyprios was sickening. Gretzky is no the greatest hockey player of all time; he ranks third at best behind Bobby Orr and Mario Lemeiux.

Wayne's father, Walter, is descented from Ukrainian stock (pretty close to Polish). Not sure about Wayne's late mother, Phyllis.

One of the Nationwide pros told me he was like that all week, even at the public functions he was "hosting".
