I see you can't help but parrot the talking points of your dear leader.
Attacking a child... does that make you feel good about yourself?
(That was a rhetorical question... everyone knows the answer)
She's got mental issues, she has no knowledge of anything, no education, no experience in anything, never held a job, paid bills , never had responsibilities or even understands how anything works. She has no perspective beyond her narrow view of the world and is as deep and thoughtful and nuanced as as, well.... a teenager. A side show that reminds me of Eddie the Eagle except that he, at least, was a lovable character in a village idiot's kind of way. She has none of his likeability and helpfulness just fear, hate and extremism.
Even if we get the cost down very low we still have the issue of what to do with all the old parts and all the chemicals in them. It's a very messy job and not worth the effort in converting.
Probably easier than cleaning tailing ponds and the tar sands.
Nobody is advocating stopping the use of all oil products, just using carbon taxes to make people use way less of them.
And yet she's way more famous and liked than you are.
How did that work?
For a kid with asbergers she's pretty together and functional. She got attention and managed to inspire 200 protests in Canada alone.
And all she advocates is that we listen to the scientists, her expertise isn't the question.
Kids make those moral choices easier, they don't have that 'have to bring home the bacon even if it means killing the planet' worry of adults.
But that doesn't make her any less correct.
Certainly she really triggers the science deniers around the planet.
So was Jeffrey Dahmer- waay more famous than me. See, if you don't bring home the bacon, the children die.
And carbon taxes only serve to hurt the poorer in society and make life harder for them. The rich will still carry on flying on their private jets and floating around on their huge yachts spewing massive amounts of carbon when not in one of their numerous mansions. Carbon taxes will just be a drop in the bucket to them while the rest wrestle with ever increasing costs of food etc. due to these taxes.
Oh and Greta and her followers are advocating stopping the use of all fossil fuels.
