But does anyone know how closely tied the Canadian Greens are with their European counterparts?
Heard a Green candidate in all-candates meeting last night and damnit if he didn't make some sense. He was able to laugh at himself and have us laughing too while at the same time hammering home the someday -- maybe soon -- we're going to have to pay for depleting our non-renewal sources.

And, yes, there is an international link. While the Green rep said he welcomes open immigration, it would have to be through a lottery. He said there's no way Canada (when and if it was green) would strip ALL the brightest and and talented from third world countries, thereby robbing them of their most valuable resource.

General consensus was his presentation ranked second to the PC challenger and ahead of the Liberal incumbent. NDP was distant fourth IMHO.

Would be funny, but it won't happen.

There are 308 seats, and if all the 75 Quebec ridings are won by the Bloc, that would leave 233 seats. If all the rest of the major parties (NDP, Liberal and Conservative) split those seats, two will end up with 78 and one with 77.

The Bloc could be king-maker in a minority gov't. Nothing more.
Save the Bloc! the Marijuana Party and the Communists must win 11 seats!
