You DO realize that U2 holds the record for THEE highest grossing concert tour EVER with the 360 show which wraps up on Saturday night in Moncton I believe. And that's one more rock tune than U2. Big successful MTV/pop/progressive band, but they couldn't rock a highschool hop.
I don't know about now...but when I saw them many years ago at Massey Hall and the Gardens they were a great, great live band. You DO realize that U2 holds the record for THEE highest grossing concert tour EVER with the 360 show which wraps up on Saturday night in Moncton I believe.
I'd say U2 knows how to rock.
I'd say they're pretty popular, but it's not rock and roll. You DO realize that U2 holds the record for THEE highest grossing concert tour EVER with the 360 show which wraps up on Saturday night in Moncton I believe.

Same can be said for The Moody Blues. Most Pink Floyd only sounds good when you're high.
I agree with you shack. The Who were amazing especially with Moon and Townshend is a genius! I'll still go see the two remaining guys anytime they play! The Who were amazing and huge innovators.
The three consecutive albums of Tommy (first rock opera/serious concept album), Who's Next (first great heavy metal album) and Quadrophenia are unparallelled.
I still voted for the Beatles.
Love The Who. They put out a lot of good music from mid-60s to end of the 70s. Not many bands have as a great a 15-year run as them. But with the death of Keith Moon and the Cincinatti tragedy, they were pretty much a spent force. Again it's all opinions but the Beatles and Stones never did it for me. Also agree that Aerosmith and Eagles don't belong on the list. The Clash and Queen definitely should be given consideration.Heard on the radio today that Townsend is working on a re-release for Quadrophenia. (One of my favourite songs is "Love Reign O'er me" - unforgettable.)
I agree, the Who are an amazing band and definitely belong on the list, despite the fact that they ceased being innovators 30 years ago and Daltry's voice is all but gone.
But in their day, they were brilliant.
