Just read a couple of great books by Tracy Quan, a Canadian ex-pat living in New York, "Diary of a Manhattan Call Girl", and the sequel, "Diary of a Married Manhattan Call Girl". Both are very fun and insightful, especially if you happen to be a call girl.
I think Quan's books would be entertaining for non-working girl readers as well, as she explores many issues of intimate relationships we can all relate to, ie.: who you are as a lover vs who you are outside of your relationship, the secrets we keep, the lengths we go to to maintain the illusions we project, out of fear or out of caring for the innocence of those around us...
