I would have to say meh. That song is a massively emotional song of loss. Axl wrote it and feels everything that caused him to put pen to paper and its a lot more then words. When I saw GNR live that song was so powerful and emotional it really moves you. Only the song writer can really capture that unless someone else who sings it also has a similar experince to draw from. Same with Fast Car by Tracy Chapman. The cover by some Country Western dude was a bigger hit but to me it was just meh, because the emotion is with the song writer, .
