Canadian Government spent $81.6 BILLION on CERB (PLUS the other benefits, CRCB, CRB, CRSB etc etc etc)

Which do you think is a better spend of tax dollars? Short term CERB from pointless lockdowns or investing in the so called high risk communities where covid spreads?

The Government has treated this Pandemic as one big Social experiment funded by our (Future) Tax Dollars...Guaranteed income will be on its way soon. The money was spent recklessly by someone that knew he could make no mistakes....it pretty much has guaranteed him the next election. To see this governments attitude towards money just look at the 1 BN they almost gave to WE Charity to brainwash our teenagers.... This Government is Reckless beyond Compare... and Ruthless in their politicization of EVERYTHING. Cerb was political and temporary and did little to solve the underpinning infrastructure and economic competitive issues Canada is facing,,, So NO to Cerb and Yes we could have spent the money much more wisely.

I don't hear any of you criticizing the Republican relief bills in the US under Trump and now under Biden that the Repugs are trying to take credit for it. The US is printing a lot more money than Canada. Justin will be reelected once again but this time with a majority.

So if 10,000 Canadian lives have been save via isolation, PPE, social distancing and vaccinations, that's almost $500B. It makes the $81B the gov't spent a good ROI.
