Been too long since I hung out around Bay/Bloor area since the old Bloor st diner days. Didn't know there is a Just Desserts there? It used to be my fav. during my Cheesecake days.

I believe the Plantation @ Warden & Steeles is another cafe/diner place. But the one on Commence Valley on Hwy 7 seem to be quite busy. There is also the Kennedy/Denison coffee place that is also busy late nights. Haven't try neither as don't get to hang out much at nights.
The Just Desserts I was thinking of is the newer one @Yonge/Wellesley. Some cute & sweet waitresses and good supply of pretty customers. But the place is poorly run. With their location & traffic there's no excuse to be understocked. The coffee is average and the condiment counter is filthy & rudimentary, like a variety store's! I'll never go again. If I need coffee +11PM, I'll go to Timothy on Church to watch the drunken lesbians fight or make out, and flirt with the Filipino trannies dropping in from next door.

I think the Plantations were re-named Symposium. The ones on Yonge/Shepp & King/Victoria went way downhill. During the good'ole days I was attached so I couldn't enjoy the hot Chinese girls the same way, I might have stood a chance back then, not now. Foodwise, I loved the Garlic-Salmon-Potato Wrap, the great desserts and GTA-best creamy Chilled Coffees(!!!) way superior to the watery slush you get in most places.

TD tellers are always hot! :D
I like CIBC, when I need the branch there is always something to look at while waiting in line. Last two months I've used the branch & ATM's at Yonge/Bloor and there is teller -pale Oriental with coarse & slightly frizzy long hair - looks just like a Viet-Chinese dancer I used to see at BR 3 years ago. Nice flashback.

As for coffee babe-barrista's, the 2nd cup on the corner of yonge and charles during the work week hours has this tan light brown haired little vixen with crystal blue eyes and a nose piercing that looks like absolute trouble with a T

I love Mache for their large bowl of Cafe O'lait. For some reason it doesn't taste the way it used to. Not enough foam or milk?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the plantation at warden and steeles turned in to a bank a while ago and the other one at 7 and commerce valley closed up and tried to reopen under a couple of different names with no luck it is now trying to be a bar and grill.

Thanks for the info.

Impala77, thx for the info.

I was on the hunt for bowl of good Cafe Au Lait and landed at Caffe Demetre Eglinton. The Au Lait was ok, not as foamy as I liked. The Crepe was not burned enough. Honey Vanilla Ice cream & fruits were great. Only eye candy were tenants at nearby Condo. Will continue my search for that perfect cup.

Another Fav place of mine for eye candy is on Woodbine ave. next to the shoeless joes there is a carribean place called cravins'. The place was owned operated by an Asian fellow from the carribean. (Jamaica Chinese I believe) And his daughter waitressed there as well. Now this was about 4 years ago but its still there and this daughter of his was out of some kind of comic book with her unbelievable proportions. I quickly became a fan of Chicken Roti

The owner is Jamaican Chinese. A friend of a friend. I haven't been in a while but they have great Patties.

You just reminded me of a certain Cafe daughter who became Miss HK runner-up. Another friend of a friend. She wasn't that hot, imo but friends spend countless hours hoping to get her attention.

Goodtime quest for foamy bowl of Cafe Au Lait

Well search brought me to Yorkmill Marche but too busy, ended up in Yorkville. Got there too late, the 2nd cups, Starbucks were all closing or closed.

Pass by the LV store front, anyone noticed the handbags with cherry design? Wonder if anyone would actually use that cherry bag or guys wear the LV pattern shoes? Ha ha...

Ended up at Big M's on Bloor for a shake. No eye candy but had a good time walking down memory lane as it was one of my old hangout back in the Annex days.

Aw darn! Oh well not like I have time to bus up there anyway. Too bad though, great desserts & appetizers, best ice-coffe in GTA, nice scenery. Should have known this city wasn't ready to tell the difference, though I thought they had a chance in Markham especially. SIGH!

One less link to the time I had a life...starting to feel like it all happened to somebody else.

No Buzz from Timmothys

OK so I'm a coffee adict and I'm going to keep this thread alive a bit longer.

I revisited Timmothys 3 times this week and was even more disappointed. Basically most of their coffees are now so watery, just a pinch of milk turns it to an almost ivory beige color. I used to like Nicaraguan Estate, but now its totally lame. And 10 minutes later I felt like I never had a coffee!

Only FrenchRoast & Saigon are strong, but not especially tasty. From now on Timmothys is only to be had Black / No sugar, along side a strong sweet like Danish or Almond Croissant.

Yum

Geniune Indonesian Java is drank straight up with heavy coffee grind at the bottom. It takes getting use to. I prefer it with thick coconut milk. Not available at Tim's or in T.O. for that matter.

Walked by College Park Tim's with all the stools facing the street as if everyone are waiting to be picked up... Real people watching corner.

Now that the weather is warming up my thoughts are on the Ice Caps. :p
