good region to move to in US

I am looking at the prospect of moving as an educator in an area that is high in demand all over the place but just wondering anyone have any recommendations as to what is a good region/state to move to just for a change of scenery, I am highly considering Virginia or Arizona.

Don't know about the pay, but I do know that many areas of Florida are dying for teachers.

Hate to say it
but as a generalization all teachers are liberal. In that they want larger government subsidies. That is on a professional level. I am sure that many if not most are conservitive on a personal level.

I'm not a teacher and I am rather conservative politically. However, I do believe teachers should be paid very well. Afterall, what does it say about our value of educating our children if we want to nickel & dime our educators? That being said, I'd be glad to pay them high salaries provided they make it easier to fire crappy teachers....

Teachers shape the minds of our children, and our kids deserve the best.

ahhh such a nice change the last couple of posts from the usual hey lets attack educators because they are an easy target, one of the major reasons I am looking into moving to a place like Virginia is the pay especially with a masters degree, the absence of a union to make you sit through what feels like a Bolshevik rally and take major money from your paycheque, anyways lets get back to whats a fun place for a single 30 year old to move to in the US

BTW ~ I have a friend teaching special ed on Long Island and she pulls down over $100,000 per year. Good luck where ever you go!
