Hey, I like Tiger like most golf fans, but I am also a big fan of Mike Weir.

Weirsy takes a 4 stroke lead into the 3rd round with Tiger a distant 11 shots back.

I'd love to see Mike Weir win the Masters for his first Major and third win already this year.

Mike had a bit of a meltdown on the back nine today, but is still only one shot back, and he does have a good history of coming from behind. Go Mike!!
And, if mike doesn't win, Go Phil!!! (we lefties gotta stick together, ya know!)

It would be nice to have the green jacket north of the border for the first time. Though Tiger's going to be quite the force tomorrow when he goes for the first ever Augusta 3-peat.

He hasn't choked yet. Sure he had a rough day but he's only 2 behind and in the final group at a major. Granted he'll need to go low today and Tiger is definitely something everyone has to worry about, stranger things have happened.

It's next to impossible to play 4 good rounds in a major . Weir now has his bad round out of the way and is in second place -hopefully he can put it together for the final round . The Masters doesn't start until the 11th hole ( start of Amen Corner ) on Sunday . Half of his victories have been against fields with better players ( ie more in the top worldwide rankings ) than this and they have all been come-from-behind victories .

Hope he wins....he's one of the "good guys " .

Sears Canada issued a press release last week to announce that Mike Wier was going to be at the Eaton’s Centre (today) to launch his line of golf attire priced for the everyday player. You could not have planned this better if your tried. I wonder if he will be wearing his green jacket today at the Eaton’s Centre.

I’ll bet Sears is now regretting pricing the clothes for the “everyday golfer.”

The Kid played some of the toughest golf I've ever seen in the closing holes of a major.

Great work ! Well done !

He will not be. You're only allowed to wear the green jacket on Augusta National property. The one that Tiger presented to him was a loaner. He doesn't get his till next year when he presents to the next winner..maybe himself???

That's correct - the only time you wear the green jacket is on the grounds of the club. The only green jacket (of a Masters winner) I'm aware of that has left the premises of Augusta National is the one Gary Player left with back in the 60s, and he didn't know he wasn't supposed to take it!

Tehy changed that rule a couple of years ago. The winner can now take the jacket off the premises. He has to return it at next years tournament where it has to stay unless he wins again.
