Does anyone know of a site you can go to and download or submit your scores from 18 and 9 hole scores for handicapping purposes.

Also what about a terb golf tourny?

GAO

For the same money as Golfserve, you can set up your personal handicap at Golf Association of Ontario. It gives you an RCGA membership that provides you with a handicap card, an essential for play on most courses in Scotland etc. The only draw back is that you have to post at least 50% of your scores at the course you identify as your "home" course.

I think the GAO membership is the best way to go as it will give you an official handicap that can be used for sponsored tournaments and it supports the RCGA.

However, for $30 a year you can get the same from Nethandicap.com.

That's definitely a bit of a pain in the butt. It's easier just to post them at home. The last time I was at my home club the program wasn't even running yet.

If I recall correctly, the rule this year was that you can only post 20 scores from a remote location which is less than half for me.

I agree it's a pain. I'm heading over there today to post a back log of 18 games going back to March. I'm pretty sure it is still 50% for online, but I'll check it out this morning. I just read the pamphlet, but it is not clear.

My goal this year is to spend as much on golf as I do on hobbying. Then maybe my game will improve.

The GAO public players program is the best way to go if you don't belong to a club with a handicap posting system. It's $89 for two year membership. All Golf Town stores as well as some of the public courses have computers where you can post scores. While some of the web based handicap systems will calculate your handicap, it can't be used for any club tournaments or tournaments that require an official handicap. The software the GAO uses has all the golf course slope ratings etc. and you will receive a GAO membership card, a copy of the Rules of Golf, a bag tag, coupon for $10 off at Golf Town and a card that gets you 10% off all purchases at Moore's clothing stores.
The GAO membership card can be signed by the Pro wherever you post your scores attesting to your handicap when you need it for tournaments.

Thanks

again, I don't play in many tourny's sanctioned by the OGA. I just wanted to keep track of scores, and most of them are only nine hole scores.

I didn't want to even pay for the service, anyway, maybe I'll join the OGA.

Perhaps AlannaSecret will organize a golf tourny since she is putting on these parties.
