Anybody have any advice or info? Staying at Casa Marina Resort but plan on going into Sosua every night and staying at a hotel in town for a couple of nights.

Did some research (thanks in large part to cubadave.com) and found out the going hourly rate for a chica is about 2500DR which is about $65US. Is this correct? Also any updates on Passions or CMP? What spots would be the best places to go to see some local action?

Thanks. Any feeback would be appreciated.

Cheers

Going in Feb, 3rd time.

Bad choice with Casa Marina, not really chica friendly. Make sure the local hotel is.... best bets rockys/sosua suites/Mary Rose or even Casa Cayenna.

Ignore Cuba Dave, he is incompetent. Short Time 1500 pesos, TLN 2500 pesos. Tell them that is your offer, do not ask them or they will give you Cubadave prices. :)

Passions closed, believe CMP is as well but even if it isn't still don't go. Lot's of pressure/problems in past.

Action is all in one long block of Pedro Clisante, Rumbas in the afternoon/early evening, D'Latin at night and After One after hours. Many other smaller bars with action also in the area.
The beach is also nice during the day, playa sosua, not the others.

If you stay at rockys, Sosua Suites or Casa Cayena (or even New Garden if they have a room) then you are within a short walk of everything. Mary Rose a little further.

PM me for more if you wish.

I'm thinking about doing the exact same thing but in feb, can't decide if I want to stay in a resort the whole time, then just hit the town for a few days and grab a separate hotel if I decide to link up with an SP or not. My problem is I want all the good stuff a resort comes with, but going by myself I will be bored on the resort so kind of also want to just get a place at rocky's and party in town all week.

If you go the resort route it is a good place to store your stuff, otherwise you run in to the potential of getting stuff stolen.

Check out www.insearchofchicas.org for a bunch of info, more in the membership area but some good info in the free area as well.

rocky's is not safe?
It's not the room. Leave anything out in any hotel in town and you have a chance of losing something. Some of the girls are hardcore and the police are mostly corrupt. Calling the police is a good way to get arrested while they sort it out and then it will cost you to get out. Common sense for a 3rd world, don't flaunt wealth.
I leave everything of value in the safe, even lock the room keys in the safe when company is around. Stash the payment so you don't have to open the safe while company is present.
Rocky's is as safe as you get because the owner is a completely stand up guy. All the ones I listed are that way.

Thanks for the info. Already knew Casa Marina Resort is not chica friendly. This is my first visit to Sosua so wanted to stay at an AI as a base and then explore Sosua and perhaps next time just book a flight and hotel separately. Was planning on staying at New Garden initially but changed my mind. Casa Marina will serve as a base, check out the March break tourists at the hotel and then still have the option of local night life in Sosua. From Casa Marina is it walking distance to the main strip of Pedro Clisante or would I need a cab there and back? Thinking when I head into town I'll just get one of the hotel rooms on the strip for a few hours or if it's cheap just for the night (think New Garden is $60US per night).

What is TLN? Overnight? Also short time is roughly what? An hour or a couple of hours? Also are the girls in DR open to bbbj and cim? Definitely plan on covering for FS but I'm open to bbbjcim if the girls allow that? When I went to Cuba (Santa Clara) the girls there were totally open minded to bbbjcim/cof for $40 CUC. I think the girls are more open minded to this option in the Caribbean then here back home? Do you find that to be true?

Thanks again for the info! Will definitely check out the places you mentioned.

Cheers

Casa Marina is walkable to the action. Most hotels are cheap. There is also an option called Dulce Secreto which is a short term rental (4 hours), never used it so not sure how close it is to everything, gets good reviews though.
TLN = toda la noche = all the night. Overnighter.
Short Time is one or two hours. Biggest thing is negotiate EVERYTHING upfront. Tell her exactly what you want and how much, you are the boss. BBBJ = orale sin condom. 2 SOG is dos leche. 2 hours is dos horas. If you offer lower than she wants gauge her reaction, the more reluctant the better chance things can change later. Move to the next girl, ALWAYS be willing to walk if the radar goes off.
Common sense, but make sure you use it.

Girls in the Carribean are way more open than most in NA.

Most welcome. The best info I've learned relates to the culture. Dominica is a machismo culture. Either you are in charge or they are. No need to be rude or an asshole but if you are not in charge you will be walked all over.
Always glad to share. I'll even give one I learned the hard way. Only carry the money that you need with you, rarely more than $2000 pesos in loose cash, and a copy of ID (passport). Make 2 copies. I got my wallet with copy lifted while the girl was molesting me in the bar. Everything was in the safe but I'd taken extra money to get changed and never did, cost me $300 can.
Don't use a wallet, easier to steal.
