Tommy Boy had a glorious summer at the Euro and Wimbledon with his buddies David Beckham and Guy Ritchie.

Tommy Boy is the only celebrity that attempted to get South Park cancelled.

To explain:

Top Gun is a masterpiece jingoistic, homo-erotic fantasy, to attempt a follow up is cynical. At this point in his career, Tommasso has given up on characterizations. He's a one-dimensional actor who peaked with Rain Man. If he takes the gay longings out of his narcissist fantasy then the film will be too grim to watch. 1986 is very different from 2022, back then Reagan had just won a thunderous victory in Grenada, America was brimming with confidence. Now with the pandemic and the images of destruction in Ukraine will a death from the air film, fly. I'm probably reading too much into fluff entertainment, the film will gross a billion dollars at the box office.

Btw Rain Man is a Barry Levinson film, his son Sam Levinson is the creator of Euphoria.

Anthony Hopkins didn't want to play Odin any longer, Marvel retired the character.

In the latest Thor film,a new Supreme God emerges...it's none other than the wonderful Twisted Rusty as Zeus. I try not to miss any film that Rusty is in, that goes back to LA Confidential. Some say he's selling out, going against his standards. I say he's paid his dues, takin on numerous risky roles and getting burned for it, he deserves to cash in.

Next Friday two potentially great films come out. The Awesomeness of Nicolas Cage and The Northman. The later looks like a retelling of Shakespeare's Hamlet set in Viking times. I may have passed on it except for one small wrinkle.

there are so many good movies coming out. A relative is renting out a theatre this Friday for a kid’s birthday party. Double header of the new Harry Potter movie and something else.

Robert Eggers first film was The Witch, with The Phenom. Tony the Tiger said it was grrrreat!

Nicolas Cage lived up to expectations can The Northman deliver the same? It probably would be making more at the box-office if Tom Cruise and Daisy Ridley were the lead actors...a gloppy Cheeze Wiz type of film. The Critical Drinker is very perceptive especially his op of Anya Taylor Joy.

Sir Von, your statement is absolute truth.

Thomas Mapother IV (nee 'Cruise') has peaked within his career but I daresay it was in P.T.A's "Magnolia" from 1999.
His character was based on the real-life Ross Jeffries.

He's done nothing on interest since.

I need to make some time to go check The Northman out.
Wanted to see it since the trailer.

Imho, Magnolia is P.T.A sloppiest film. He bravely attempted to go 180 from Boogie Nights, I sat through it in constant confusion...this must have been the moral of the story:

As for Anya Taylor Joy, she's achieved a status that only Rusty Crowe and Tom Hardy enjoy, I'll watch anything she's in. It appears that Rugged Rusty is playing Phillip Seymour Hoffman in The Georgetown Project with Ryan Simpkins as his daughter. I'll mention it again, the gender gray area leaves me confused. I'm ambivalent about it, not my place to judge how others wish to lead their lives.

I must ask, does Ryan Simpkins look like a boy?

Ricky Gervais refers to James Corden as a fat pussy. His time as Late, Late Show host is done, unlike Craig Ferguson who left on top, his ratings were tanking.

He brutalized Amber Girl by doing pelvic thrusts at her face. It's far too horrifying to post, gutsy girl she survived it.

She's right Nic Cage has insane range with rage for being insane.

The Searchers is a misunderstood film and close to being one of the best westerns.

Woke types see it as an over the top racist film, I will admit the first time I saw it it insulted my intelligence. When I saw it the second time, I saw it for what it was, an anti-cruelty film that uses racism to drive it's point home. The conclusion is unlike anything Ford had ever done before, the brave white warriors were actually genocidal maniacs. Ethan Edwards (John Wayne) was not an heroic military scout, he was an opportunistic coward. John Ford clouded his point by making Wayne look like a hero when he was anything but. For playing such a ruthless anti-hero role my respect for John Wayne the actor grew substantially. He was putting his image on the line, he didn't give a shit. The sad part Wayne, never tackled such a role again.

As for the side bar, Lana Wood should have told Burt Lancaster what happened. He would have dealt with it his way. Natalie Wood had it tough.

Speaking of insanity is there anyone more insane than George Miller?

He does what he wants, WB sued him for not delivering a Mad Max sequel. Now he's back with a film as nuts as everything else he's done.

I've described Sarah Shahi is the anti-Amber Heard. She's worked very hard to establish herself beyond being a Dallas Cowgirl, she's become an accomplished character actor.

They're keeping her role in Black Adam under wraps. Wise, no sense giving away all the secrets in the trailer.

The Favourite is perhaps the best period film since Amadeus, Olivia Coleman was a Best Actress Oscar as Queen Anne.

All three deserved recognition Coleman along with Emma Stone as Abigail Masham and Rachel Weisz as Lady Sarah Churchill. I had to find out how much of the story was actually history.

Charlize Theron has changed her mind she's not cancelling Tom Hardy.

The Finale of Peaky Blinders suggested that fascism was more prevalent in the USA than American historians would care to admit. Again Steven Knight follows the history, FDR didn't think much of Charles Lindbergh. The finale begins with Irish Mob Boss Jack Nelson (a stone fascist) has Alfie's cousin Charlie Solomons wacked. The Jack Nelson character is loosely based on Joseph Kennedy, he becomes respectable as a liason to FDR. Of course his niece Gina Grey (Anya Taylor Joy) wants Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) dead. I'm going to watch The Plot Against America next, since it presents an alternate reality.

The George Miller saga is getting weirder with both Fiuriosa (Anya Taylor Joy) and Mad Max: The Wasteland now filming...which is correct?

The scuttlebutt is Patrick Brown tried to hustle a fetching young lady to be his intern, in return he will get her a high paying job. Patrick Brown, like James Corden, should learn that he's not God's gift to women.

Corden did his Magic Mike routine in front of Amanda. Megan Fox makes Gal Gadot seem like Jessica Lange.
