Gmail login problem

OK, so I have not found any solution on the net.

I am using chrome in incognito mode.

One ONE of my computers, when I go to the gmail 'signin" page, when I click on the "email or phone" box, immediately a small box appears below with my username. Sometimes the box is white, sometimes it is black. It is a rectangular box with an additional small triangle on the top pointing to the "email or phone" box.

I cannot get rid of it.

When I sign out of gmail after using it, I always go through the exercise of "Remove account" on the box that says choose an account. So I remove that email, but still, next time I go to login, that same darn drop down box appears.

Hi barn you need to clear the web cache. That will fix it. And the next time you log in and it asks to save your password, say no.
In Chrome

1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2. At the top right, click More .
3. Click More tools. Clear browsing data.
4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
6. Click Clear data.

I had already tried that and it didn't work. I just saved my bookmarks, then uninstalled and reinstalled and it has gone away. Thanks for you assistance though, appreciated.
