With the numerous controversies surrounding Trump over the past five weeks, he may be building a precarious stack that could ultimately collapse on him, but it hasn't happened yet. This latest incident could turn both domestic and global opinion against him. If he continues at this rate, he will soon find himself nostril deep in his own quagmire of sheiss.

In 1994 the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia signed the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances in return for Ukraine agreeing to give up the nuclear weapons it inherited from the Soviet Union. Part of the agreement stated that the signatories :

- Respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and existing borders.
- Refrain from the threat or use of force against Ukraine.
- Not use economic pressure to influence Ukraine's politics.

The United States and Russia have violated the agreement. This reaffirms Zelensky's concern that Russia will not honor agreements. Trump has attempted to use economic pressure on Zelensky to get a deal that favors Russia.

Russia has taken the Crimea in 2014, violating the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances. Now Trump is proposing that the war will end if Ukraine gives up these occupied regions.

Don't really disagree that stacking up this bullshit is creating pushback and it may eventually add up enough.
But "this one thing will be the end" just doesn't seem valid at all.
There isn't one deciding thing that enough people will turn on him for.
It's going to be a gradual accumulation of things.
The turn will happen before whatever becomes the rallying cry everyone unites around after the fact.

However, without public support, and more critically the backing of his own inner circle, how difficult will it be to govern effectively? The downfall I refer to is not necessarily removal from office, but a loss of confidence in his cognitive abilities. I believe much of the world and the American public see him as a reckless driver, speeding dangerously and losing control. The global reaction to this latest controversy will soon become clear.

I thought it was the countries in the west, mainly the U.S. plus other
NATO members, who were meddling in the Ukraine war until Trump
wants to grab Ukraine's rare earth and leave the war to Europe.
