Put yourself in his shoes. Fabulously wealthy, hedonistic sex addict is arrested and charged with crimes that could put him in jail the rest of his life. His influential, billionaire friends desert him. His wealth is useless to him and will be drained away in legal fees and civil damages settlements. That's a lot of reason to kill yourself.
I've know rich men who killed themselves when charged with fraud. Happens pretty frequently.

Except the complainants are not being cross-examined about whether they jay-walked 10 years ago or what brand of cereal they had for breakfast last May 14. They're probably being examined on the # of times they changed their stories and issues with plausibility and consistency. Virginia Giuffre for example has changed her story multiple times to "enhance" its money-making potential.
