yes yes yes

is my understanding as most of this stuff is on the net

most movies new or old, legal or illegal, are on the net somewhere

live TV might be delayed until copied and downloaded

I am unsure so I am asking for someone who has it to respond

It looks like an Android based XBMC box for $300. Considering you can get boxes anywhere from 50 to 200 bucks to run XBMC quite well, not sure what the benefit is beyond they save you the chore of copying a few files.
It is ... I think they are using a Minix system - possible flashed to remove all programming with the exception of a Red Rhino Android app.

I have one connected to my TV which besides any Andriod app, I'm running Showcase, Popcorn & XBMC. My favorite is Showcase - the latest movies, TV series (I watched the entire original Star Trek) and a good library feature to store links to your selection. Free movies with a larger selection than Netflicks.

So cancel cable and Netflix and get Minx????? How much and where do you buy it????

Does it do more than a computer connected to the TV? If its online than a computer browser will find it, no? And no I can't get history live online or discovery..or sportsnet channel..

I stated nothing live as it has to be downloaded by someone (but I am not sure)

This claims to be much better than any browser

There are a lot of different devices and you should do your own research. I settled on a Minix Neo 7 ( http://www.minix.com.hk/Products/MINIX-NEOX7-ANDROID-TV.html ) which basically turns your HDTV into a smartTV. You can download apps, games, etc from Google Play or directly from internet web sites. Besides a Browser you can get a lot of dedicated apps such as news, magazines, YouTube, TED talks, XBMC, ShowCase, Popcorn, for you TV viewing. I have hundreds of movies stored on a hard drive which I can access and play from this device.

You must be willing to do some research on your own. If you are looking for a box that plugs in and push one button to get service - maybe you should stick to packed limited solutions such as RedRhino.

Go onto Kijiji and search on TV BOX XBMC and you will get a lot of individuals and businesses selling them. I purchased an M8 Amlogics Quad Core Android box for $130 cash and fully programmed with regular and adult shows/movies. I suggest you pay an extra $20 for an alphanumeric remote control which makes it a lot quicker to type in the name of a movie when you are searching for programming. They run off your wifi but it is better if you connect by an Ethernet cable to your modem for faster streaming and to avoid buffering/stopping of the streamed program which can happen often using wifi. The remote that came with it is useless. You can also get them from amazon.ca but I recommend getting them through a business in Toronto so that if you have any questions or if there is a problem (I had to get my alphanumeric remote replaced as it was defective) you can go back to the seller. Also, boxes from Amazon are not normally programmed which is not terribly difficult but time consuming. Worth it to pay extra 10-20 dollars to have it programmed so that when you get it home you just plug it in and play the movies right away.

The RED RHINO is way overpriced. I purchased the same thing with keyboard controller (has mouse on it) fully programmed for $150 cash tax in. So just search on kijiji for TV BOX XBMC.

Got together with a few buddies and one of them had MyGica (Quadcore) and another had Red Rhino (Octacore). The Red Rhino picture quality was practically high definition with no buffering. The MyGica was more NetFlix kind of quality that was more 720P with more buffering, for the same movie that was streamed. The Red Rhino costs $325 plus taxes at the Flea Market, whereas My Gica costed $120 and there was a customisation fee of $40 at the Pacific Mall. Well looks like Red Rhino gives you the incentive to cut the cord. Any suggestions?

Still dumb Schlongie, even a commercial address or P.O box address should still be enough to track him down
