I have no link and no other info to post. I'm too lazy right now.

A guy who transformed himself from a sullen, bad assed, unsmiling villain, assassin to one of the most loved and charismatic comeback characters in the history of not just boxing but all of sports. Self deprecating, charming, witty and humble yet relatable, witty and smiling. He became everyman's everyman. It was impossible to dislike him once he reached his 40's. He automatically became an underdog because in one of the youngest young man sports he became the oldest man to win a championship at 45 defeating Michael Moorer who, I believe, was previously undefeated. He had 5 sons named George . Of course his not insignificant boxing earnings were dwarfed by being the front man for the George Forman Grill. I congratulate him for having a remarkable life that had its' fair share of challenges. From villain to everyman's iconic hero.

Great boxer. Great popularity. Great legacy. Great man.

George Foreman may have died much sooner had he not lost to Muhammad Ali at the Rumble in the Jungle. From Ali he learned public speaking which brought out his natural charm. His fight with Ron Lyle showed what could have been had he not changed course.

RIP George.

Brutal Fight!
