GWB had been acussed of having the lonesome cowboy mentality. This visit could be the first step to shed this image. It would not be the first time that the USA has used Canada as a mediator for the UN.
I hope some people have the courtesy and common sense to at least listen. Maybe I just reading too much in to this..who knows.

I think Canadians are still pissed that Bush 43 broke the long standing tradition of visiting Canada first after an election. It might have actually improved the relations between the two countries over the past 4 years alittle had he stuck to tradition - but he started the grudge match with Cretin cause JC and Bubba used to hang and golf alot.

Cardinal - I beleive her bastards comment could have been toned down and she should have avoided name calling. However you still didn't produce the 'again' that I was asking for. She was elected by Canadian constituents, not American ones.

Like it or not, we did not get to elect him, and he does not have to listen to anything we say. If we treat him like an idiot, he will treat us with little respect. Treat him with respect, then at least he won't close the border for the next week or so.

Of course GWB should be accorded the courtesy and respect that the Office of the President of the United States of American holds, by the canadian government.

However, anybody outside the government are of course free to speak their mind, that is called free speach, democracy etc etc.
