Last time I believe it was 2007, I know many Genesis fans will say that without Peter Gabriel they're not really Genesis. I saw a video on youtube of Phil Collins, he was walking around with a stick and had to be seated all the time, he looks like shit for 70.
I guess they're hoping that by November everyone will be double vaccinated, I don't about that, I don't think we'll be vaccinated by September like the Justin the Groper was saying months ago. Maybe we'll all get the first shot by September.

Will this be the last flip of the concert switch for Genesis?

The veteran British prog-rock group’s latest reunion tour, Genesis The Last Domino?, sees the band pull into Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena on Nov. 25, the Toronto Sun has learned.

It’s the first time vocalist Phil Collins, 70, bassist-guitarist Mike Rutherford, 70, and keyboardist Tony Banks, 71, have toured as Genesis on this side of the pond in 14 years since 2007’s Turn It On Again: The Tour.

More recently, Collins, using a cane and staying seated in a swivel chair for the entire show, came to Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena for a 2018 solo date with his son, Nic Collins, on drums as he was physically unable to play after a recent fall combined with other previous health issues.

Nic will be behind the drum kit for the latest Genesis trek along with the band’s long-time touring lead guitarist and bass player Daryl Stuermer.

The tour is being put on by EMC Presents, a partnership between Toronto’s award-winning tour promoter and producer Michael Cohl and CTS Eventim, an international provider of ticketing services and live entertainment.

Back in January, Genesis, which has sold more than 100 million albums, released rehearsal footage for The Last Domino? trek which kicks off globally at Dublin’s 3Arena on Sept. 15, after two postponements due to the pandemic.

The new rehearsal footage showed the band will be joined by two backup vocalists for at least part of the show, a first in Genesis history.

The North American leg of the tour will kick off in Chicago on Nov. 15 at the United Center and wrap up on Dec. 15 at Boston’s TD Garden.

The only other Canadian date is in Montreal on Nov. 22 at the Bell Centre.

Tickets will be available first through a Ticketmaster Verified Fan pre-sale on May 5, followed by the general public on-sale on May 7.

Fans must register at www.genesis-music.com for access between now and May 2 at 11:59 p.m. ET and if verified and selected, fans can secure their tickets beginning May 5, at 10 a.m. local time.

Beginning May 7, tickets will be available through a public on-sale and fans can visit www.genesis-music.com for ticket information.

All of the venues (except in Cleveland and Philadelphia) will use Ticketmaster’s digital ticketing, which sees your mobile phone become your ticket, using a unique rotating barcode for fraud and counterfeit protection and allowing a more contactless entry experience.

If you don’t have a smartphone, the local box office can assist you on site at the venue.

The tour and all of the venues will also be following all mandated precautions in accordance with state, provincial and local regulations to provide the most secure, COVID-19-free environment possible.

I have that DVD (the last tour) and recently saw the show - it was good, but I'm not sure how good this tour would be - much older and I can't see Collins voice holding up.

Collins’ voice may not be as technically good as it once was but that’s not necessarily bad. Johnny Cash did some excellent work near the end of his life long after his voice faded. I’d be interested to see how (or if) they are able to adapt as they age...I’m getting older too so I guess I’m kinda curious.

I’ve seen genesis once (with Phil Collins) about 30 y ago. They were amazing. Fuck if I’m gonna ruin that memory by seeing them in their 70s.
I saw Peter Gabriel at a half stadium concert at MLG. touring what I believe was his first solo album. He did Solsbury Hill. When he did the the chorus for Moribund the Burgermeister his eyes started to glow in the dark.

I listened to 'Invisible Touch' repeatedly as a teen. I've never seen them in action but saw Lily Collins at TIFF once -- Very pretty and joyful actress 🌞

They never made albums that were as prog rock as when Peter was there.

Agreed but I think that was never the case - Peter never made a prog album when he left either. Big fan of the band and the solo stuff from all the members except for Banks. I like the direction that they all took when the original line-up no longer existed. The self titled Genesis disc is a monster release.
