I've heard of wishful thinking, but that's just ridiculous.
The daily embarrassment our mayor is sure to continue to provide a constant stream of unbelievable topics.
Today's embarrassment?
Running away from the press because they asked about the letter to drug dealer Lisi, not even ex-drug dealer Doug to back him up on this one. Maybe we can get a character reference for the big guy from his murderer tow truck friend or the people in the famous gawker photo. Whoops, can't ask them, they're all in jail or dead.
What will tomorrow's embarrassment be?
Can it be more ridiculous?
How far can Ford take his supporters?

Remember when Ford said he was against 'Hug-A-Thug' programs? Seems like he has his own "Hug A Thug By Giving Him A City Job" program in place. :eyebrows: 'Director of Personnel and Logistics' $130.000 bullshit gravy train.
And there's more of the cognitive dissonance inconsistency in that he supports drug dealers, a convicted murderer, and Dave "Out of Control" Price. But then he's shown a single photo of a man with his head on a desk and it's "Fire that employee right now! No excuses, no explanations, no second chances!"

This entire thread, the LLL have been claiming there is no such thing as media bias, and they've been going on and on about how the Star/ Globe/ CBC etc have no bias, and have "impeccable credibility" standards, and yet, a simple google search reveals ALL sorts of bias and widespread credibility issues amongst the media from all sources.
When they have no answer, they just ignore it, wait for a couple hours or so, until a post they have no answer for, gets bumped to a previous page, and then they start some other bullshit. :hand:
And then there's fluffy... :rofl: When he has no rebuttle what-so-ever, he just resorts to name calling and insults.
I'm telling ya Ridge. All that back and forth they've had in the politics section has created a "brokeback mountain" bromance between those two......

The alternative, the right wing, works on belief and faith rather than science and facts.
I find it bizarre that Ford rolls into work after noon and leaves a few hours later; he has time for a 2 hour radio show almost every week, and he has time to explain politics to "females" who want to call him up, and he has time to help out individuals with a stopped up drain or don't know if they should mulch or bag the leaves on their lawn.
Then he tries this charade that he is much too busy to respond to ONE question from the media with a straghtforward answer.
Oh... so if I understand you correctly, it is what it is, and I should just be a good little citizen and accept it. (There's those blinders I was referring to earlier....)
Well, I don't consider myself right wing or left wing. I embody values from both sides of the so called political spectrum, but one thing I will not do, is simply "accept" things. I prefer to do my own thinking thank you.

Ford puts a few weeks between his drinking and drug binges but eventually they recur. And like Ford, you could hide your true nature for a while but it's interesting to see it manifest in this manner.

He compared any support for the Mayor to being a Nazi sympathizer. Go back and read it all. And if your going to C and P at least post everything I wrote. I don't have a issue with disagreement over issues. Buut even you as a rational person have to see how idiotic the comparison is.

Many hundreds of thousands of Germans supported Hitler but didn't support most (or any) of his more radical ideas. The trouble for Germany came about when "politicians" started screaming "You're either with us or against us!" and the everybody thought "Geez.. I sure don't want to be against you..". That's it. The German public of the time weren't all Jew hating monsters.. They just bought the bullshit being fed to them.. And many of those who didn't buy into it were too afraid to stand up for what they knew was right..
Ford Nation regularly decides to buy another one of Mein Mayor's "mantras", "explanations", or "answers" on a daily basis.
He says "White is white" on Monday and everybody in Ford Nation says "Yeah! White is white. Fuck you, if you think it's black! You must be a 'socialist'" then he says "White is black" on Tuesday and everybody in Ford Nation says "Yeah! White is black!. You think it's white? Stupid leftie socialist!".
It's insane and terrifying...
I'm guessing his legal counsel is advising him, he can try, but will likely fail, because of those clever little words I've pointed out, and their disclaimers. This is standard operating procedure for how the media operates. They publish all sorts of wild accusations, and then add those clever little words and disclaimers. THEY know that the "sheep" will gloss right over those clever words, and the disclaimers and this is how they create something out of nothing, sell thousands of newspapers, and STILL maintain zero liability.
Now, on the off chance they get something right? They all give themselves pulitzers etc... and if they're wrong? They still have those little words and disclaimers protecting them.

What you are describing isn't unique to ford nation... it stands true for all politicians and their followers.
And yes, it IS insane, but I wouldn't say "terrifying", and hardly unique to any one political movement.
