Over the last few years I have had growing luck while gambling within Ontario casino's. My best success is with baccarat, usually the mini baccarat version and while on winning streaks it help finance the hobby. ( I don't want to talk about the losing streaks )

I've had some luck with roullette and blackjack but don't find those games as appealing.

I'd like to learn craps next however it looks a little more complex in terms of understanding the details of the game. Any craps players out there who can share some insight?

Thanks

I don't like games where there is not a lot of thinking involved. My favourite games are 7 card stud and Texas hold'em.

Craps is not that difficult. Your objective is to roll a 7 or 11 on the 1st throw. If you do not achieve a 7 or 11, then you must keep on throwing until you roll the same number you rolled on your 1st throw. However, if you roll a 7 or 11 in the process, then you lose. That is the jist of craps.

I agree who wants to talk about the losing streaks:)

Three card poker and let em ride. High odds, becuase the fact, the odds are staked against you, but the tables are generally full, and how hard can it be to get a pair of tens or a queen high, :)

best of luck

Actually, 11 is not significant once the point has been established. 7 is your only enemy.

The table is intimidating but if you stick to passline & odds the game is pretty simple. You might want to add place bets on the six and eight once you get comfortable.

Stay away from ALL the bets in the middle of the table (hardways, props, hops) as the house advantage is prohibitive.

Just to make sure I leave my kids some money before I go bankrupt in this hobby I may take up Russian Roulette. I won't win any extra money, but at least I'm bound to stop spending. How's that for a gambling game?

love the dice

When ontario finally allowed dice games in casinos was a truly glorious day for me. I used to go to vegas 3 to 4 times a year just for my craps and poker room fixes but now simply go to niagra at least for the craps. If you are a numbers person then from my recollection best payout (odds stacked against you the least) slots then black jack then craps. Craps was very intimidating when i first learned but once you get used to it, its pretty simple. Only problem is that in order to get proper payout and make some real dough at craps you have to lay a lot of money on the table. For true gamblers craps is a numbers game, always take full odds and learn to count your winnings on each roller individually. Usually one hot roller can make your night but count your winnings when he's rolling and once you get to a point where you are even on the roll but still have all the numbers covered on the table then up your bets. Worst case is you end even but if its a hot shooter this roll will make your night. As hupmann says you should stay away from the middle of the table but if you are up some cash and having fun its nice to bet the hard ways and some of the other dumb bets. Go to a casino in the afternoon and i've found the crews in ontario to be very helpfull and you'll fall in love with the game.
