So, with all the news right now I've been looking at the French military/paramilitary services. I was mildly surprised to see that the DGSE, France's Special Forces, is credited by some for assisting the Quebec separatists in the 1960s, even helping some of the low-level (as these things go) bombing and violent action by those separatists.
How does that sit with Canadians? I'm really not trying to stir the pot, here, but that seems like a damn shitty thing for France to have pulled, if those reports are true.
