Freeloaders Rant

What's up with men asking SP's they've never met - for dinner and alcohol in exchange companionship?

Rates are clearly posted but still I get a number of men basically demanding I go out with them for free "to see if we click".

WTF, that's like saying I wanna live in this house to see if I like it before I buy it.

I am not in this biz to get fat and drunk. I can't pay the landlord, website, phones etc. with that.

The explanation is simple - they're dickwads. Obviously the alcohol is to "seduce" you into sleeping with them without being paid. Duh. Plus they obviously can't afford you or are too cheap even if you "clicked". Could they be more transparent?

Of course I did. I just think you're being unreasonable in thinking that they're all trying to be freeloaders.

this is an exaple:
"I thought we will go for a nice dinner together...my treat...no sex! (-:
Or...can come to your place, bring some really rare wines, we can cook a cpl of nice steaks...have some fun!
You want to charge me for all these??"

So WHERE is the PAY?

Maybe I'll invite my landlord for some dinner and rare wines, see if they bite for a months free rent, doh.

That guy is probably just trying to get a freebie, but if those are quotes he doesn't sound like he's from North America, so maybe it's cultural.

Unbelievable! Absolutely fucking outrageous! Don't let the bastard come anywhere near you!

Everyone knows you can't cook nice steaks in an apartment. You have to be outside at the barbeque!

Not just that, he wanted "rare wines" and not cheap fortified wines. How gauche.

Maybe 'cause there are some SP's who actually take guys up on their offer! Usually not after the first encounter but it definately does happen (and occasionally even on the first!). It's not as outrageous a request as you think it is.

Funny you say that, there was one just this past saturday that was looking for a dinner companion....

But, for the record, not everyone comes here and reads the thousands of posts on just how terrible it is to even suggest something along these lines. I mean, the barter system is rampant in many industries and some may think that this is no different (the idiots).

Now to open myself up to WWIII I will say this: I see NOTHING wrong with a guy wanting to meet the lady prior to paying for her time. In just about every other industry one gets the chance to review the item up for purchase (or in this case...rent....) and in my field particularly I have to spend my time and energy to review a client's needs and provide an estimate on those needs with the understanding that all that energy may not ever amount to income for me.

Now we ALL know that gasp, this business is exempt from all the typical practises of other businesses and to suggest otherwise is to open oneself to an avalanche of insults.......

LOL true how outrageous, I don't even eat steak [anymore]. Yeah but you are totally right, you need a barbi for a good steak.

He said he would supply the 'rare wine' but I didn't bother to inquire whether he was bringing the food or was expecting me to front that too, along with the incall location.

Really why? It's clear men like that are freeloaders all the way. My ads are located on escort not dating sites. Escorts=cash. I am not looking for a relationship with a client or a cheapskate. And I am not about to make my job harder than it is by begging for change.

The request is not so outrageous in itself but this dickwad had me going back and forth for quiet a few emails, leading me to believe he wanted to be a client. It's just a waste of time. I am sure there are some who need to conduct their business that way but I am also not into the try and up sell something from nothing. I just don't have time for MAYBE this is clearly a business for me hence the $$$ signs all over the ads, :)

Why don't you just politely but firmly say no, and
leave it with that. Calling a member of your customer
base "dickwad" does nothing for your business.

Now all Terb members know what to expect, if we (heaven forbid)
make a mistake in dealing with you.

lol, how was he a customer? not even close, he was a freeloader, he wanted to exchange my time for a bottle of "rare wine". I like wine sometimes, not too often anymore but to me the rarity means nothing. To top it off guess what I already get PAID to do that. I get the rare wine along with CASH, cold hearted cash. Yeah I know that's brutal but what the heck this is a business. I am selling my time if you don't want sex during that time that's your choice but no need to burden me with it.

This wasn't a barter because he had no item of value to me, to barter for.

Once again taking people out for dinner does not pay bills.

Oh yeah DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE OF DEALING WITH ME cause the consequences might be that you anonymously get called a dickwad on the www, ughhhh scary. Weak whiny men never did anything for me, so just as well. :D

I wasn't really planning to do anything for you anyway. Believe it or not,
that is not really high on my list when I pay for services. Anyway, I have a policy of
not seeing escorts that men dickwwads.

Would it cost extra for you to keep your mouth shut during a session?
yeah but that's going to hurt, it's no problem if you are into that, but that costs extra. :p

A lot of reasons. One time I had an appointment with an SP I had seen a few times before. We are pretty comfortable with each other. Anyway after our evening session was done she asked me what my plans were for the rest of the evening. Since I had not yet eaten and after a 3 hour session I was quite hungry, I told her I need to go get something to eat. She then said she was starving and needs to go eat also and asked if I planned on going out to eat. I said yeah and I asked if she wanted to join me and grab something from the restaurant around the street. She said sure and we had dinner. I picked up the tab (I insisted) and she insisted that she'd take care of it next time.

I've gone shopping with ladies (not buying them stuff, but because I needed to pick up some stuff at shopper's too), had a drink with them, gone for a walk with them, etc... all "off the clock". As SPs tell us themselves, they are just regular gals and sometimes in cases where they get along with their client, they don't mind spending some extra harmless time with them. Maybe they are also smart enough to sense that I have no desire to "be their boyfriend" either.

Ah ok, I was indeed thinking of something different. People who pull this before even the first encounter is trying to pull some stunt. Argh sometimes I skim to quickly over threads here. My apologies! Too much to wade through!
