Hi, I was wondering if anyone ever used the service www.foundmoney.com. I entered my name and apparently there is money out there for me or someone with the same name. It seems to be a reputable website and before I purchase the info to find out whether it is truly me or not, I was just wondering if anyone has experience or knowledge of this website. Thanks.

Never heard of it, but from what you've said in your post, it sounds like a scam.

type in any name, and it comes up with money found. Very very likely to be a scam.

Cheers

Well, go ahead and let us know how you made out.

Put it this way: Have you ever forgotten where you put that 10 grand you won in the lottery? Damn, I so hate it when that happens!

Where does this money supposedly come from? Long lost uncle bob who made his millions selling hot dogs to arabs?

I saw this on TV, its a company that searches old bank records to see if you have any forgotten bank accounts and such, it may be legit but I'm not sure.
Why dont you 'Take 1 for the Team', BJ.

I punched in my name at www.foundmoney.com and it said that I'm OWING money. Whats worse they've logged my IP number and have dispatched the proper authorities to come and get me.

What do I do??????????????????????

Here
Well, if it is a search for old bank accounts, you can do it, by yourself, free, in Canada.

The Bank of Canada has a search facility for all inactive bank accounts which the Banks must turn over to them after a certain number of years: here it is!

Happy hunting!

And thats probably what the website does, they are directly linked to the Bank. From what I remember the website is more or less legit.

This is ...

the latest get rich scheme being presented by the "wealth builders". (You know, the guys that tell you how to buy real estate with no money down).

The idea is that they find lost money (all legitimate) and then present the information to you so it can be retrieved. They charge a finders fee or commission.

I'm pretty sure it works much differently in Canada, as already mentioned.
