Australian Grand Prix today, or was it yesterday. It could be a good season with some of the changes.

It would be neat, but the insurance would kill it. I've done a ride along at Mont Tremblant in a Porsche, and that was a thrill and a half.

It was around 1AM our time Saturday night/Sunday morning. Depending on your point of view.

Formula 1 is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring.
Agree. I have watched a few races, I usually watch at least one every year, and it sucks. My opinion.
I like NASCAR and I am sure there are some of you who do not like it.

I once heard Nascar described as a bunch of Bubbas turn left a hundred times, but hey. It reminds me too much of the Dukes of Hazard without Daisy. I also can't watch all the Formula One, but certain tracks are of interest and I try to catch those races. Catalunya, Suzuka, Montreal, Singapore.

I have heard NASCAR described that way also. Hey to each his/her own.

the constant left turns, the fact that a race can take 4 hours and the season is just way too long. Starts what in February and goes till November!!! I read one of those Sports Illustrated books on things you should do before you die, and there was a story about a dude who goes to the Daytona 500 every year, so he takes his camper, parks it and then takes a nap for 2 and half hours then gets up just before the race ends. Yeah now that's a spectacle that you just cannot miss ;)

F1 is the epitome of race car technology. Enough said.

So did you catch Sebring 12hr today? It's actually my favourite form of auto racing.
Endurance racing rocks, extremely competitive amongst the different classes. Le Mans being the ultimate in endurance racing.

I like NASCAR and I am sure there are some of you who do not like it.
Rednecks turning left in antiquated equipment, soley to sell road cars.

Each to his/her own ;)

It certainly is one of the few racing genres where there is a genuine effort to develop things which will go into modern cars.

Traction control, aerodynamics, anti-lock brakes, KERS, fuel technology, more endurable engines, etc. are some of the developments which have trickled downstream.

That is not to say that there are not developments solely for faster F1 race cars.
