Meh - a past his prime asshole drunk still being an asshole drunk disguised as a failed attempt at something funny.

Honestly, who really cares about over the hill players who still think they are young and back in the game when they get any type of left over spotlight. They could have had much better out on that stage. Can't blame the hosts for having shitty people to deal with.

Wasn't he an asshole even back in the day? I have some vague recollection of him being a drunk or something.

Back in the day, when he was an active Blue Jay player, I remember him as being a fan favourite and champion of the city.

I have not followed his post Blue Jays career at all. It sounds like he may have had more self-control while a player.

Seems like he became a jerk post-1990, which is (coincidentally) just about the time I stopped following the Blue Jays.
