This fool has no idea what he is doing...

First says he will base re-opening on doctors advice
Then creates a system that doctors all scream is wrong
So he creates a colour coded system and implements it
Doctors scream it is nowhere near effective enough
A week (or two?) into the colour coded scheme he revises the requirements which pushes many areas back into more severe lockdowns
Then implements a Stay Home Order (after Christmas so you can all do your shopping)
Once Stay Home is over moves most areas back into Red
Doctors continue to warn the wave is still increasing
So issues a second Stay Home Order and shuts down things like schools (which he claims can't infect) and playgrounds (which doctors say is wrong)
Ford issues apology and allows alot of things to re-open but keeps things like tennis / golf / etc closed
Doctors say very little chance ever getting sick there
After backlash Ford makes statement he might keep lockdowns active AND allow things to re-open at same time (which is absurd contradiction in itself)
Doctors and people express outrage

NOW he is apperantly scrapping his colour coded system
(The one he claimed met all doctors and business requirements to balance our health and well being; Since he shut down areas back in November his brilliant system was in use for less than 2 weeks lol)

I think its obvious it is time for Ford to bite the bullet and step down
He is a fool and noone is happy with anything he has done

Crayola called DOUGS.

"Hey DOUGS, we want our crayons back."

Crayola has learned a tough business public relations lesson: DON'T DO DOUGS.

Just out of curiosity, how would you have handled this pandemic?
Judging by his posts on here, my guess is Premier TeeJay would have called the pandemic a hoax, citing commentary from websites like Natural News and Parler as his evidence. He would have not have had any lockdowns, ordered any vaccines or promoted social distancing.

Maybe but has anyone really given him a chance to address all the issues and say how he would handle them.

How would he handle rising COVID cases?
How would he handle LTC outbreaks?
How would he handle strained hospitals and ICUs?
How would he handle vaccines and their roll out?
How would he handle recommendations from WHO, Health Canada, CDC, etc?

He is quick to criticize but doesn’t suggest other solutions, so I would like to hear them. See what he actually comes up with. If he even dares to respond at all. There were crickets in the William Fehr thread.

In one of his posts I seem to recall Tee Jay saying he lives in a small town just outside the GTA.

I think I know who Tee Jay's mayor is !!!

With a little bit more consistency

I really do not know what Ford is going for here

Never helped the seniors (LTC crisis)
Never listened to doctors (ignoring advice, misinterpreting advice etc)
Never listened to anti lockdown folks
Never listened to pro lockdown folks

And instead he turns around trying to blame Trudope for his failures???
I despise our PM and think he is the worst in our countries history but even I am baffled at Ford's attempts to curry favour with both sides or argument and blaming someone else for his shortcomings

This latest (scrap our brilliant colour coded system which was used for less than 2 weeks) is more of Ford's special brand of insanity
And all this nonsense is costing taxpayers we shall see how bad the inflation hits post covid

None of this says what you would do. You just blame him for shit but you have no once said how you would handle it yourself

It says exactly what I would do
Pick a lane and stay in it
That is Ford's biggest problem since Day 1
I read an article where they said he wants the people to like him (as in all of them) but we both know in politics that is impossible
If I was in politics I would pick a course and stay the course, knowing not everyone could possibly agree with everything I do
But flip flopping all over the place has (imo) made the pandemic more deadly than it actually was

For how to handle Covid if I had absolute power? (oh scary haha)
Month 1 sure probably pretty similar to what did happen with only a few minor changes (eg fuck CERB; we ALREADY had an EI system in place that only paid out to people who did shit like file taxes and that holds back some for tax time)
But by mid-April (early May at absolute latest) I would have opened up and let things run the course (yes I know easy to say in hindsight when we saw no cases or deaths during summer but many anti-lockdown were calling for an end to it some as early as March; I prob would be a bit more cautious than those)

I would have suspended non essential surgeries etc (eg its beyond fucking ridiculous things like gastric bypass surgery and cosmetic surgery were allowed while covid was running wild Hulkamania style) and I certainly would have made it very difficult for tourists, students, even foreign workers (see how many farmers from places like Central America tested positive? One of the primary drivers in Phase 1). The border closures were way too random (and draconian) in who they picked and chose to do things like tests etc
I certainly would have been WAY stricter at borders (I seriously do not understand why an essential worker like truck driver was allowed to freely drive across country without getting tested ever)
It is my opinion the mismanagement and foolishness made this pandemic 10x worse than it ever would have been. I do not think lockdowns saved many (if any) lives and I still maintain the long term impacts will outweigh any gains that were made

Could have invested more $$$ into something like temporary health care support instead of blowing over $82 billion of CERB, certainly never would have used stuff like CEWS which was basically used to pay out executives bonuses and not anything to workers who were all laid off
Fuck even Ford tried buying parents off with multiple payments to parents of kids (why??? if parents are home and kids are home why did he spend billions???)
He also gave out a fuckton of cash to special needs kids (without even requiring any proof of said special needs; you saw that employee in Brampton who scammed over $11 million of taxpayer money right)

I agree in concept with quarantine hotels for those first couple of days, and certainly those who test positive
But forcing those with negative or inconclusive tests is stupid
We keep hearing capacity if over 3100 ICU beds but we panic when counts hit 800??? AND we have 3 emergency field hospitals built (or more by now?)

The only decision I think I never would have gone near are the virtual schools. We had 2 kids in entire province die. Seriously there is zero reason to keep schools closed.

I also certainly would never have done the stupid closures / limits of businesses. By limiting number of stores open you filter more people into a single store, then by limiting the hours they could stay open you are further crowding that store

New system seems much more common sense
Among the changes all business allowed to open (although for some strange reason he restricts non essential businesses to small capacity than essential business, but at least it is a start)
