He also allowed his developer buddies to bypass Conservation Act

And he is giving University status to another buddy who runs a fascist / racist college

But iron ring to protect long term care homes?
Naw fuck em
I feel bad for Ford. The liberal minded will never support him and he's now lost his alt-right base. Guess he's just left with the corporate execs that have been the PC core support.

Actually poor choice of words since I don't feel bad for him in the least. He's made his bed.

I was supporting Ford's response at the beginning of this but now I just see another crooked politician out to screw the little guys. 😡
Doug Ford cut taxes by 4 billion dollars already, then he promised 2 billion in small business tax cuts just 2 months ago, plus he lower electric rates for businesses by over a billion.

Over 7 billion in tax cuts.

This is not enough money for you ?

Maybe you should vote for people who put tax cuts in your pocket, rather then voting Conservative ... and the juicy tax breaks go to someone else.

Ford may be clueless, I wouldn't argue that point. But, Justin effortlessly just passed Doug on that field. The CTV reported that the fed wants the criminals in our jails vaccinated during the stage one rollout. Despite the "experts" including criminals in the stage two. Looks like the LTC facilities are being deprioritized, again. Fuck the seniors, save Paul Bernardo.

The prison is a hub for COVID and the staff is contracting it and taking it home. 220 plus correctional officers have been infected but hey, who cares right? Doctors in Sick Kids were being injected yesterday, is that ok with you?

No, it is not. The people who are facing death should get it first. Period.

How is this a "game changer" if arriving passengers at Pearson already have a negative test within the last 72 hours before they got on the plane?

Premier Doug Ford announced the new testing program on Wednesday, which he calls as a "game changer" in regards to the early detection of COVID-19 in people arriving into the province from overseas.
"This is a critical step," Ford said at the airport on Wednesday. "Travellers coming into Pearson will be able to take a free and voluntary test."
Travellers who receive a negative COVID-19 test will still be required to self-isolate for 14 days, but Ford said he is "actively working to further enhance the program."

And Ontarians still can't get tested unless they have symptoms. Could it be that Ford is happy to use our medical capacity simply for a political game?

Right. People at high risk living in congregate situations where covid is spreading and the people required to work there. That means a 70 year old prisoner should have just the same medical treatment as a 70 year old in a home.

Obviously, you haven't. If over 220 correctional staff are infected, then how much community spread occurs and eventually reaches the old folks??

Over two hundred LTC facilities in ONTARIO ALONE are in the middle of outbreaks right as we speak. Every single resident is potentially facing DEATH. Not an infection- death!! With the limited vaccines and the sloppy vaccination protocols who in their right mind would even suggest redirecting limited resources from the citizens facing death? Does anyone remember the meaning of the word "triage"?

Ford turfs York Centre MPP who wrote open letter saying ‘lockdown is deadlier than COVID’
Premier Doug Ford has tossed a member of his caucus for publicly speaking out against the lockdown orders currently in place for the province to stem the spread of COVID-19.
In a letter issued by his office Friday morning, Ford said that “effective immediately” York Centre MPP Roman Baber will no longer be sitting as a member of the PC caucus and will not be permitted to seek re-election as a PC member.
“Mr. Baber’s comments are irresponsible,” Ford said in the statement. “By spreading misinformation he is undermining the tireless efforts of our frontline health care workers at this critical time, and he is putting people at risk. I will not jeopardize a single Ontarian’s life by ignoring public health advice.”

On Friday, Baber sent Ford a letter saying “the lockdown is deadlier than COVID” and suggested that a slew of other ills such as divorce, depression and bankruptcies are worse than the virus.
The letter goes against all of Ford’s policies on dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic and lists “figures” from a list of other diseases and illnesses such as cancer, overdose rates and mental health.
“Covid is real, but the fear of Covid is exaggerated. While every death is tragic, after 10 months we learned that Covid is not nearly as deadly as first thought – it has a 99.98 per cent infection survival rate,” said Baber in the letter.
In the letter, he writes that “the medicine is killing the patient” and “Ontario’s hospital and ICU capacity are better than in the last three years.”
He also said that the response should be limited to long-term care homes.
“I don't regret speaking out for millions of lives & livelihoods decimated by Public Health, I serve the public,” Baber wrote.

I love how the COVIDIOTS circle back to the same thing and repeating the same nonsense. This must upset you really bad. One of your homeboys getting fired for saying the exact same thing you have been saying for months "Lockdown is deadlier than COVID"

Imagine if we had followed that genius missteps the American's took months ago.....We'd be in a worse and the same shitty situations as the American's. Thankfully no one listened to this nonsense and the only culprits of this mess are the COVIDIOTS.

They are facing the economic reality that the cure is worse than the virus.

Quarantine fatigue: Governors reject new lockdowns as virus cases spike

Most states began reopening their economies before meeting the White House’s nonbinding guidelines, which recommended a sustained decrease in cases and adequate testing, among other metrics.
The coronavirus is spiking in more than a dozen states and intensive care beds are filling again, but several governors have no plans to reimpose shutdown measures or pause reopenings, a sign that the political will to take drastic measures has dissipated even as the virus is still raging.
In Texas, where total cases have shot up by one-third in the last two weeks, Republican Gov. Greg Abbott is moving ahead with plans to let virtually all businesses keep expanding capacity by the end of this week.
Arkansas Republican Gov. Asa Hutchinson, who insists recent surges in infections and hospitalizations aren’t tied to his lifting restrictions, on Wednesday announced the state's reopening will move forward as planned next week.
In North Carolina, which is reporting its highest-ever levels of new infections and hospitalizations, Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper said reimposing restrictions would be a last resort.
Just one state, Utah, has paused the next phase in its reopening plan amid a two-week spike in new cases.
I don’t know that anyone has the appetite for massive shutdowns again,” said Lisa Piercey, health secretary of Tennessee, which is among the states seeing reported cases and hospitalizations spike in the past two weeks.
Should the state ultimately decide to reimpose restrictions, they would likely have “a more laser focus,” she said.

Can hardly wait for the day Ford is turfed by the electorate. He has basically destroyed the economy.

You haven't thought this through, have you?
Yes I have. The province (and therefore our future taxes) are legally liable for the health of the people they care for. They also have a contractual liability for the workplace health and safety of their employees.
