For Women Only: Rate your looks priority with men

Once I dated this model-type girl, who was taller than I was (and many others she'd dated). We were in a restaurant and the waiter had the temerity to hit on her, I felt because of the height discrepancy between her and myself. I up and bought the restaurant, and fired the guy's ass.

What was the height discrepancy? Sorry. I been meaning to ask this one for a while. Its just interesting and nags my curiosity. So how tall was she? (And how tall are you?)

Good for you! As I said nothing bothered me more than when guys would hit on me because they didn't think I'd really like a shorter guy.

It's not about interest, it's about intimidation. The primordial urge of the male of the species to ward off potential suitors from his female. A taller man will hit on a shorter man's woman because he does not fear retribution.

However some of these shorter guys can be vicious.

Not really. What I meant is that there are many women who don't really care about height. And a small minority of those actually PREFER shorter men... The others don't really prefer, but don't mind shorter men...

I personally know many women who have no problems dating men their height, and I know a very cute girl who date a guy who was five feet tall (four inches shorter than her.)

The moral of the story is that there is always going to be some variation in preference. My last poll demonstrated just that, and even this poll does. Not every woman is a gold digger, or cares about height. Some women don't care about the face much.

What I find rather peculiar is that it's usually the short women who demand a tall mate. For example, my sister is only 4'11" and all her boyfriends were tall than 6'.

Not too peculiar. I know a few short women who want to end up with a tall husband in hopes that he will balance her out and give her son a chance to be a decent height.
