A STUNNING SENIOR MOMENT--

A very self-important college freshman attending a recent football game, took it upon himself to explain to a senior citizen sitting next to him why it was impossible for the older generation to understand his generation.

"You grew up in a different world, actually an almost primitive one," the student said, loud enough for many of those nearby to hear.

"The young people of today grew up with television, jet planes, space travel, man walking on the moon, our spaceships have visited Mars.

We have nuclear energy, electric and hydrogen cars, computers with light-speed processing, and...," pausing to take another drink of beer.

The senior took advantage of the break in the student's litany and said, "You're right, son. We didn't have those things when we were young........so we invented them.

Now, you arrogant little shit, what are you doing for the next generation?"

The applause was resounding.....

I love senior citizens!

Sure. The senior citizens invented all those things. What are we "young'uns" gonna do for the next generation?

How's this sound?

Save the planet from the massive amount of destruction caused by our grandparents and parents generation.

Ain't gonna happen. Would require giving up phones that do everything but cook breakfast. People are willing to do their part to save the planet, right up to the point where it impacts on their daily life and takes away creature comfort.

Yer livin' in a dream if you really believe that's even REMOTELY possible...

What's that swishing sound I hear? Oh, that's right, it's the sound of humanity circling the drain, glug, glug, glug... There's NO stopping it, IMHO.

You are right about inheriting all the mess from previous generations though, I definitely won't argue that point!

I know some might find this harsh, but I think we're just prolonging our extinction by "attempting" to save the planet (ourselves, in reality). The sooner we're gone, the sooner the Earth can begin healing and become the beautiful, natural environment it once was.

As for doing my part for the environment, my bloodline ends with me, ie: NO OFFSPRING. In my opinion, that's the biggest favour any of us can do for this planet, and the only way to save it... :D
