For the people that understand color theory...

I've been stuck on a color for my incall for over a month.

I have to mud and tape, then paint.

I've never been very good at picking colors but my decor is mostly green, grey and wood grain.

If I decorate any more it's going to be with plants or a leafy green trellis.

I want it fresh, clean and earthy.

What color should I paint it?

Should I just leave it white?

Without seeing the size of the room, from your description I'd suggest a very light beige or sandy type colour. It's fairly neutral and should match up well with all your other colours. Of course, if you want to be very bland, you can use white or I'd suggest an off-white but that can be too clinical looking. But even if you stay with white it sounds like you have enough decor colours to make it work. I'd suggest a quality paint too. You can buy the cheap stuff but you get what you pay for too and a lot more labour by having to apply it 2 -3 times.

That's actually one of the other colors I was thinking about for decor so that makes sense.
Maybe a really light beige would work. Thanks!

I'll have to take a picture of the room and download one of those apps to try out the color.

Being an ex-designer who did take a colour theory class, your choice depends on a few factors. How big is it? How much sunlight does it get? What kind of vibe/mood are you trying to convey? Usually if you’re adding greenery, you’d want to stay close(r) to a neutral tone like an off cream coloured white. If you want some contrast that might make your plants stand out more then possibly go towards a light yellow (daisy). In the end it really comes down to you’ll want to be in a room that is relatively cheery and not dark. The light, brighter (maybe) the colour, the better the result perhaps.

What woodgrain is mainly involved? Birch, Maple, Cedar, etc. Also what is the shade of grey?

You could also look at some of the lighter blues. It would allow the green to pop a little, while still giving the room a cool calm feeling.
