Hey Guys,

I have Willis McGahee, Rudi Johnson, Lamont Jordan on my roster as my RB's.
I just traded away Rudi Johnson and one of my 1st round picks for Priest Holmes and a 5th rounder. I am in a 14 team keeper league. I also have the 1st overall pick this year in our upcoming draft via a trade with some other guy earlier in the year for Ahman Green.

Now I can run with Priest and Willis as only 2 RB's can start. I know Priest is 32 but I'm going to make a run for the title I hope this year. So I was thinking of grabbing one of the young RB's coming out from college which will keep my team young and balanced for many years.

Which one do you guys like the most?
Cedric Benson
Ronnie Brown
Cadillac Williams
JJ Arrington

I can protect 6 guys so I'm protecting, Favre, Brees, Priest, Willis, Lamont and Andre Johnson.

From what I hear, Priest Holmes, while still the number 1 back in KC, is going to share a lot more playing time with Larry Johnson who picked up 541 rushing yards and nine TDs over the last six games of the 2004 season in place of an injured Holmes.
I agree that for first year success, Benson has the best chance to play right away and make a splash. Long-term might not be as good as the others, but he's most ready now.
Like the Lamont Jordan pick-up and would consider him ahead of McGhee (his knee injury in college will always scare me), but with all due respect, I would've kept Rudi Johnson and the 1st rounder over Holmes and a 5th. Sorry dude, but you may have "Babcock-ed" that trade. Adding the 1st rounder was too high, IMHO.
I agree Favre might be a bit iffy, but I feel a lot more confident about him then I do Brees. He had a great year last year coming off a horrible year the season prior. I think the real Drew Bress is somehwere in the middle, not quite as bad as he was in 2003, but not quite as good as he was in 2004 either.
Good luck!

Thanks for the input guys. Well my reasoning for grabbing Priest is based on the fact that I have the #1 pick in this years draft. Seeing that only 2 RB's can start each week I had Rudi, Willis and Lamont Jordan. The fact I can run with Priest for a yr or two while still grabbing a Benson or Brown keeps my RB position very strong. The pick I gave was the 10th pick overall, where being that all of us can keep 6 players I doubt I will find any of the young RB's at that spot.

Long term Rudi is the better player but I have Willis, Lamont and a Benson/Brown to keep me set for the next 8-10yrs at that position, while I run with Priest for the next year or so in hopes for a title. If we had a flex player than yeah I would not make the trade but only 2 can start and I'll have one of the best with Priest. From what I read is knee is 100% and he won't be sharing duties with Larry Johnson. Worst case he gets hurt and I still have 3 other starters to fill the void. I'm really high on McGahee and Lamont this year

Well our point sytem is pretty basic:
1pt for every 10yds passing/rushing/receiving
6pts for all TD's
minus 5pts for INT's

So Brees is a solid play when matched up against KC, OAK, Denver twice.

definitely take Cadillac Williams or Cedric Benson. I watched both play quite a bit in college and while Benson is more talented, I think Cadillac has a better OL to run behind and TB has at least a resemblence of a passing game. Either choice would be solid but I'd stay away from Brown, and while Arrington was a very good college back, he's small and he will split carries in AZ, which will probably be a pass based offense.
