De Ligt played an excellent defensive match and even scored a goal

Didn't watch the match Phil, had to free up time for Sunday. I was mindfucking a Liverpool fan at the Super Bowl party, Juve's potential move for Virgil in the summer. We've known each other for decades so it didn't come to fisticuffs.

Pererya was a Juve prospect, can't call me a bandwagon jumper - I was a Neville Southall fan. You have to be talented to pull off a dummy like this.

Englands Euro chances have taken a hit with both Kane and Rashford out with long term injuries. Both aren’t expected to return until April at the earliest, Kane could be out for longer.

That's sad but I believe England would be well served if Tammy Abraham and Jamie Vardy are the starters.

Italy caught a break, they won't be facing Demiral in the first match. I have no idea how their match against Turkey will go.

Phil are you having a liquid breakfast again? The Azzurri's opening match of the Euro is against Turkey
Ah sorry, misunderstood.

And yes, corn flakes go great with Budweiser

I wont argue with Tommy Chong, "Budweiser, breakfast of champions". Btw, nice gap on the girl on the right.

If Eriksen wanted to be tossed into the fire, he will this weekend: Derby di Milano.

Here's an interesting bit of historical trivia, in Medieval times, Milan was the banking capital of Europe. Then King Edward III of England defaulted on his loans and the Visconti Bank went bankrupt. This came not long after The Black Death and sent Europe into the first known Great Depression. And the Ottoman Turks took advantage.

I'll bend it like........
Liverpool are truly a super team. They have 2, sometimes 3, world class talent at every position. Look at the midfield alone: Oxlade-Chamberlain, Keita, Lallana, Matip, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Origi, Shaqiri, Henderson, Milner. And they just signed someone named Takumi Minamino without fuss just as the transfer window opened. Kloop has to select just 3 from this extraordinary talent. No wonder they have dropped only 2 points in the EPL so far. They might just win the treble. Wow!
Kind of disagree

I'm going to sound like a hater but what Liverpool have is a high level of constant play rather than an all star squard. I really don't buy they're as good as their record shows. Last years CL was boring and Spurs had a chance to take it. This year they've had some calls (VAR related) go their way as well. EPL related, I don't think they are better than United 07/08, Arsenal 01/02, Chelsea with Mourinho or even Man City last year. I actually think City will beat them when they play again. Don't get me wrong, they are the best team in the EPL and maybe Europe, but they are beatable. United should have beat them at Old Trafford.

The VAR argument is bs because man united and man city have also had many many VAR calls go their way, more than Liverpool but they're still miles behind. If VAR was around during the Ferguson years there’s no way they would have won so many titles because the referees were heavily biased towards them in the premier league, which also explains why united could never dominate Europe the same way.

Man City have looked good for the last 2 years scoring 5-6 goals against the little teams which made them feel good about themselves with their goal difference, but why do they always lose to the first decent team they face in the champions league?

Also with 2 of the best comebacks of all time in the semi finals of the champions league last year I’d hardly call it boring.

Khufu, you had pasta at a known tourist trap. Milano isn't the best Italian city for food. Forget the pasta and go for the souvlaki, cheep, plentiful and tasty.

Two unreal moments: De Vrij low rider header and Eriksen's long range bomb. If that had gone in it would have been the goal of the year. If he and Barella can gel Internazionale will be as unstoppable as Liverpool. Not sure how long Ashley Young will be starting once Stefano Sensi is fit.

One more thing about Milano, it's the transvestite capital of the world. Thank me for the warning.

I got fooled by a transvestite in Sao Paulo and had to pay US$200 to get out of the jam without scoring, of course. Have sworn off hobbying outside of Canada since then.
Jeez the trannies in Sao Paulo are aggressive! They used to congregate near the hotel I was staying in Milano. I didn't want to appear uneasy as I passed by, they would have known I was a tourist, so I said "ciao" and moved on.

Liverpool are a solid team but they didn't look so good against Napoli. De Lorenzo shut down Mane and I thought Virgil pulled a groin overcompensating on a Napoli counter attack. They did have overwhelming ball possession in that second leg.

That was Ac Milan's first loss since they brought in Kjaer, Rebic and The Big Kurazz.

Eriksen could have scored a little later when he was completely free on the right side but the guy with the ball ran into the goalkeeper instead of passing.

On the other side, Kjar did not have his best day.

Barella got selfish, he decided to do it himself but Eriksen was the deciding factor in the game late. Conte switched his formation and both Milan defenders looked bad. Lukaku didn't have much luck against Romagnioli so Conte moved him to the right wing. Romagnioli missed his cover allowing De Vrij to score on that wondrous header, then Kjaer got isolated with Lukaku. Inter look scary good, Lautaro and Bastoni were both suspended for the match.

There were several International coaches at the match: Mancini, Gianluca Villa, Ronald Koeman and Zlatko Dalic were all sitting together - I don't know who Denmark's coach but I'm sure he was there as well. The biggest surprise was Inter majority owner Zhang "Steven" Zindong doing his best Steve Ballmer impression after Lukaku scored.

I was watching the game in a hotel in Marrakech with a Moroccan guy who was a walking encyclopedia of soccer.
After the game became 3-2 he predicted it would end 3-3 while I bet on 4-2. He told me Simon Kjar was very good once but now over the hill. It appeared to be correct, although Kjar is only 30 years old.

Amazingly, Ibrahimovich still has it. I think he is the only player to return to top level soccer from the wasteland in USA.

I wouldn't say that Dane, Kjaer has been an improvement over what they had before, Musachio wasn't getting it done. He's certainly playing better at Milan than he was at Roma. He had a dip in form early in his career, he looked like a world class defender when he was a Palermo. He missed his assignment against Lukaku but he didn't get support either. Neither Romagnioli nor Kjaer played that badly, it was a case of Inter's superior midfield overcoming the obstacles the Rossoneri presented in the first half.

Btw Inter lost to Napoli in the Italian Cup.
