You wonder if Juve s going to pull someone or he's just going to be a extra striker

Federico Chiesa has confirmed Juventus return stance as Liverpool star sent 11-word exit message

Federico Chiesa has already confirmed that he would be open to a return to Juventus. The forward left the Serie A giants after finding himself surplus to requirements back in the summer of 2024, and went on to join Liverpool in an initial £10m deal.

The Italy international has ultimately found himself limited to a bit-part role at Anfield, having initially struggled with fitness issues following his move to England. While he has established himself as a firm fan-favourite, he has started only seven of his 32 appearances for the club over the past 18 months.

Featuring 19 times in the Premier League, Chiesa made only his second start in the English top-flight during last weekend’s 2-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Yet such an opportunity only fell his way with Mohamed Salah away at at the Africa Cup of Nations, Dominik Szoboszlai suspended, Alexander Isak ruled out with a leg fracture and Cody Gakpo only being fit enough for a place on the bench after making his return from a muscle injury.

Chiesa was then withdrawn on the hour-mark as Arne Slot sent on Conor Bradley, with Jeremie Frimpong pushing further forward into the right-wing role. Consequently, the Italian remains down the pecking order under the Dutchman.

The 28-year-old was heavily linked with a return to Italy both last January and in the summer, only to end up staying put at Anfield.

But with the January transfer window set to open later this week, he is again being tipped for a Liverpool exit with reports in Italy suggesting that Juventus are weighing up whether to make a loan offer to bring Chiesa back to Turin.

The forward has previously publicised his desire to stay put and prove himself with the Reds on a number of occasions.

However, he did also open the door on a return to Italy last summer as he admitted he would be interested in rejoining Juventus if the opportunity ever arose.

“Never say never,” he told Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, “I still love the club and the fans."

Meanwhile, he admitted to Corriere dello Sport that he had wanted to stay at Juventus but was left with no other choice but to leave after speaking to new manager Thiago Motta.

“Motta was clear with me: I don't need you, find a team,” he recalled. "I told him I was ready to fight, to put myself to the test because I wanted to stay and show that I was still useful to Juventus.

“But there was nothing I could do. It's okay, it was his choice."

After joining Liverpool in August 2024, Chiesa moved to set the record straight on his Juventus exit in an emotional post on social media.

“It’s time to end this journey with you, black and white fans,” Chiesa wrote on Instagram. “I would like to dedicate a few words to thank you for the great affection you have always shown me, affection that I will always carry in my heart.

“I have grown with you and with Juventus, both as a man and as a football player. You have supported me in good times and in difficult times, and for this I will always be grateful to you.

“Over the past four years I have had the opportunity to work with players, staff and coaches of the highest level.

“You have been like a family to me and, even in the most complicated moments, you have helped me get back up. I will always carry with me the joyful memories that we shared.

“Now, while saying goodbye, I would like to clarify the issue of the renewal. I have never received any offer of renewal from Juventus and, consequently, there has never been a request from me or my entourage regarding an increase or a reduction in my salary.

“I was informed that I would not be part of the project even before the start of training with the team.

“I thank you once again for your constant support. Thank you, Juventus. Until the end.”

Cristiano Ronaldo breaks 64-year-old goalscoring record surpassing England legend with Al Nassr goal

Cristiano Ronaldo closed out 2025 by once again proving he can still perform at the highest level, continuing to add to his remarkable goal tally. With his strike for Al Nassr on Tuesday, the Portuguese star shattered a 64-year-old goalscoring record previously held by an England legend.

Al Nassr played their final match of 2025 on Tuesday, traveling to face Al Ettifaq on Matchday 12 of the 2025–26 Saudi Pro League season. In search of a late winner, João Félix fired a shot that deflected off Ronaldo’s back and found the net, sealing a 2–2 draw while also writing another chapter in Ronaldo’s history-making career.

With that goal, Ronaldo surpassed Ronnie Rooke as the player with the most goals scored after turning 30. The Portuguese forward has now pushed his total to 494 goals, edging past the Englishman’s 493. Brazilian icon Romário sits third with 451, followed by Czech legend Josef Bican with 446.

Rooke remains one of the most prolific scorers in English football history, particularly during the World War II era, when he also served as a physical training instructor for the Royal Air Force. The forward, who represented clubs such as Fulham, Crystal Palace, and Arsenal, even appeared for England in a wartime friendly against Wales in 1942.

Rooke continued scoring across England’s lower divisions until his retirement in 1961, when he served as player-coach at Bedford. His career goal tally stood at 493, a mark that remained untouched for more than six decades until Ronaldo finally claimed the top spot, a record the Al Nassr star is poised to extend further in 2026 as he approaches his 41st birthday.
Where does Lionel Messi stand?
Lionel Messi, who scored more goals than Ronaldo in 2025, has long been regarded as the Portuguese star’s greatest rival, even as both near the twilight of their careers. However, when it comes to goals scored after turning 30, the Argentine falls well short of matching Ronaldo’s pace.

After reaching his 30s, Messi has scored 331 goals: 165 with Barcelona, 32 with Paris Saint-Germain, 77 with Inter Miami, and 57 with Argentina. While Messi, who is two years younger, reached that total in 436 appearances compared to Ronaldo’s 583, the gap between them remains significant.

Ronaldo’s post-30 goal tally includes 162 with Real Madrid, 101 with Juventus, 27 during his second stint at Manchester United, 113 with Al Nassr, and 91 for Portugal. With his total now at 494 goals since turning 30, Ronaldo has set a benchmark that future challengers may take years to approach, adding yet another landmark achievement to his storied career.
