A follow up to the sandwich question. I will say Church's fried chicken has the best fries, the crinkle cut style. Followedy by McD's, of course!

I don't think they have Church's in Toronto, but it is popular in Vancouver.

Holy Chuck or Jackson Burger. For fast food chains, though, for me, it’s McDonald’s.

Easy winner is VUE Bistros snack bar at the CN Tower. Yukon gold imported from somewhere fancy, fried perfectly. Did not expect this at all, however once we tried ordered 3 more servings. However I have not been there recently so can’t tell if the quality fluctuates.

2. Baton Rouge

3. Red Rock. It’s a hit and miss. Sometimes they get the frying technique down and taste really good.

Swiss chalet when they get the proper technique executed.

Union Social in Mississauga has a good truffle french fry!!

Burger priest might be the worst french fry that I have ever had.

In no particular order, Swiss Chalet/Harveys, NY Fries, McDonalds and Five Guys. My Tfal ActiFry homefries are right up there but not for resale. Actually, it is hard to fuck up fries, just as long as you have fresh oil and reasonably fresh, still crisp potatoes, cut evenly and not overcooked. It is hard to distinguish which type of potato is used although I don't seem to like Yukon Gold for fries but they are great in salads, maybe it is just the eye appeal.

I like Costco's fries.
But my favourites are Lafleurs in the greater Montreal area.

McDonalds fries when they're hot and nicely salted...amazing. When they cool down...not so much.
