Flintstones or Jetsons?

well it seems Teletoon has recently changed around their Teletoon Retro segment (20:00-21:00). They WERE showing The Amazing Spiderman followed by one of my faves, Rocket Robin Hood. Yes, I'm willing to admit that I liked RRH and willingly accept any taunting because of it.

Now they're showing The Flintstones and The Jetsons. Growing up, I was never really much of a Jetsons person but I was a regular viewer of The Flintstones, even if it was more or less catered to an adult audience. I surely didn't understand everything as a kid but there was enough content for me on that show to keep me hooked. It's interesting to see the season one episodes, sauf the regular "opening" that I'm used to and sauf the "Meet The Flintstones" theme song, though that melody is often used as background music during the episodes.

So which do you prefer? Flintstones or Jetsons?

I watch both. 8pm Flinstones and 8:30 the Jestons. I remember coming home from school at lunchtime to watch the Flinstones and the Munsters.

Now adays I like to watch Spongebob, he's so cool. I just bought the first 2 seasons of Spongebob on dvd. If you can, watch it and you'll get a good laugh. lol.

I use to love Spiderman, followed by Rocket Robin Hood and then Bullwinkle Moose!

Every Saturday morning years ago... I use to have to make up the excuse "There is nothing else on Baby" so my SO at the time would let me watch it. LOL

P.S. I think she loved Rocket Robin Hood just as much as me though she would never admit it. <LOL>

As for quality childhood television programming you should look no further than "Davey & Goliath".

Some classic epsiodes:

All Alone: During a family outing, Davey hops a ride on a train and is trapped inside all by himself, but he is comforted remembering that "God is everywhere."

The Wild Goat: Davey and Goliath rescue a wild goat that was trapped under a heavy tree branch.

Boy in Trouble: Davey and Jonathan help Tommy, a poor boy in their neighborhood, by collecting soda bottles for money

Come, Come to the Fair: Davey's Sunday School class hosts a folk fair where the children learn about the ways different cultures celebrate and remember Jesus.
