This is not a good sign.

Just a consumer tip here. Never book your airline tickets directly with the airline. If the airline goes out of business you are SOL unless you can fight your credit card company. Who is also likely going to suffer.

Always buy your airline tickets through an entity that it licensed and registered as a Travel Agency in Ontario (TICO). If the airline (or hotel) goes out of business, your payment is insured through TICO.

Expedia.ca (Canada) is a TICO member. I don't think that Expedia.COM is. Not sure.

Wonder if they survive this, if people will just bail from the airline rather than risk losing their bookings.

How does Expedia handle flight changes, re-booking, and cancellation of flights? Do I go through Expedia or do I have to call the airline/carrier directly?

Different procedures for different airlines.

But generally you get a Booking Reference Code and then can go to the airline's website and use it to access your booking.

Lawsuit filing in Ontario Superior Court accuses Airborne Capital and affiliated companies of breach of contract and ‘fraudulent misrepresentation.’ Airborne says it was ‘in direct and regular contact’ with Flair representatives.

I tend to think that Flair fell behind and got called out on it. It's a terrible, terrible airline.
