First time trying viagra.

I tried viagra for the first time this evening and it had very little if any effect on me. I took half of a 100mg tablet as directed by my doctor. Is it normal for it not to work the first time. I ate a McChicken meal a couple hours before taking it also. I read something about it not working after you eat greasy food.

Anyone else had this experience ?

I personally have not heard of this phenomenon and definitely never experienced it. It has got me rock hard every time and for an "extended" period of time. Maybe you don't need it if you already get that hard.

I had the same experience, I took half of the 100mg the first time and nothing. The doctor recommended I take the full 100 mg. the second time, nothing. He then recommended that I that the generic equivelent, Triagra®. He recommended that I take half of the 100mg. the first time, but I took the whole pill an hour before I went to see a SP. When I arrived, she opened the door. I saw a vision of beauty the likes you never seen before, impecably dressed, makeup and hair done to perfection. A tall busty beauty. I could see her her french lacy lingerie showing through the whispy dress and lacy suspendered nylon stocking tops peeking out from her short skirt.
All of the sudden this huge sproingy thing escapes from my pants and flies out and smashes her in her face. She picked up a broom and started to chase me down the street. As I rounded the corner to make my escape, we passed a cop car and surprised a cop, I could still see his face in my mind as he held in his fist a white powdery doughnut to his mouth and a cup of coffee in the other hand with his eyes wide open in astonishment. It must have been quite a site to see a tall beautiful woman with her hair and make up all messed up, with a blackeye, bleeding nose and missing tooth chase a guy down the street, clopping along in her high heels chasing a guy trying to swat him with a broom. While the guy boinked along ahead of her on a hairy pogo stick.

Same experience here minus the fast food. I never really needed it in the first place but was hoping for harder and longer lasting, but saw no difference at all. And I took the whole dose.

Assuming there was a good reason for you to take it in the first place (i.e. a hottie) then you should probably have a better look at underlying health problems. ED is often a symptom of something more. (A stomach full of food won't help either...)

How old are you?
Are you overweight?
How is your cardiac health?

These drugs are largely aimed at the over-50 crowd. If your wanker isn't responding because you weigh 300#s, and your arteries are full of plaque, don't expect a miracle.

I fit into the over 50 crowd, and use "The V" for sport sex on occasion. I take a "sliver" of the stuff and it works like a charm. (It's such a small amount, I sometimes wonder if it is having more of a physiological effect than anything else.)

Anyway, I would get back to your Dr. Perhaps try an alternative like Cialis, but also assess the underlying cause.

The fatty meal could have definitely been a factor, but what a lot of guys dont realise is that you have to be aroused for it to work.Quick story I had a long time friend going through a bad divorce and throwing herself at me, now she was overweight and frumpy, I was loaded on the 100mg stuff and nothing happened! Well ya combine Viagra with Sydney from Roommates, and that session is over before she blinks.

It helps me a lot, since I have always had ED, even when young. But yes, if you are not aroused, or if you are tired or stressed, it will not perform miracles.

The pil doesn't get you up and hard; you, she and the fun you're having still have to accomplish that. The pill just opens the floodgates so the blood that accomplishes the hydraulics can get there—and stay there—to do it.

Tried it with the ex while trying to do my duty. Half a tablet had me visibly flushed and feeling warm so I tried a quarter. Then I discovered that it won't light the fuse. My thought was it would give me a rock hard woody, I could do my duty with someone I wasn't attracted to, then catch the rest of the football game. No dice but helped with the staying power with an SP.

Just a BTW tidbit. The ridiculous price might be coming down this spring. I understand that the patent for Viagra (Pfizer) will be ending this spring (March 2012) in the US but for obvious reasons they are fighting to extend it.

I don't think so. Some guys complain that they have trouble "finishing", but once you're done, you're done. All these things do is dilate blood vessels. They have nothing to do with ejaculating, or MSOG.

If it does, then it's because it's working as a placebo...
