He picks up Richardson, an old, over-the-hill and slow-footed defenseman, then trades Klee for a prospect that can’t even make the offense-challenged NJ Devils – probably a carreer AHLer now with the Marlies.

But Richardson < Klee !!

Look at some of the d-men that went over the trade wire:

• Willie Mitchell
• Eric Weinrich
• Brendan Witt
• Sandis Ozolinsh
• Keith Carney

are you telling me none of these guys are an improvement over useless turds like Berg?

Look at some of the forwards traded:

• Sergei Samsonov
• Oleg Kvasha
• Mark Recchi
• Jeff Friesen

so none of them are an improvement over tools like Domi and Belak???

JFJ did sweet fuck all to improve this team today and in the future. Why didn’t JFJ get rid of the dead wood on this team and pick up a few players that actually give a shit?

Domi for Samsonov sounds good to me. Leafs should have done it. And Berg for Witt as well.

Mainly because its not just him calling the shots there,he has to run everything by guys like Richard Peddie and Larry Tanebaum,and if they say no,its no!!
Reminds me of years ago when Gord Stellick was the Leafs GM and he thought it might be a good time to trade Borje Salming while he could still get something for him,so he went into Harold Ballard and asked him about it,and Ballards reply was,"I wouldnt trade Borje Salming for God",and so Stellicks reply was,"How about God and a first round draft pick?"
