In attendance were Jeff Bridges, Cuba Gooding, Chris Martin, Bruce Cockburn, Tie Domi, although Domi is a regular there. Domi was on kitchen duty last night holding doors for waiters. I think that's his backup job if NHL collapses again.
Deep Dish was incredible. And, lots of eye-candy. Crowd averaged early to mid 30s.
At one point Dan Aykroyd got up addressing the crowd. I thought, please, don't break out into one of those irritating BluesBrothers routines.
"It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."
Tips for getting into one of these this week:
- check for guestlists on martiniboys, club websites, city tv promos
- come before 10
- bring a babe (gets you in anywhere)
Cool ! You could have actually gone for a very long restroom break and checked out the scenery, 'Honey, I will be back in 50 minutes', lol.wrong hole said:That sounds like a good time
I ended up going to the Spoke last night.....free drinks and lots of beautiful women - too bad I was accompanied
Maybe Cannes is still Number 1 in terms of tradition, but Toronto has more clout. The studios prefer it to launch their critical movies. In 2005 Toronto saw Capote, Walk the Line, Brokeback Mountain, Batman Begins, North Country....tboy said:Frankly IMHO it was all a bunch of wannbe's thinkin they're all that...like I said, might be more stars now that TIFF is number 2 in the world....
