I'm sure you would feel the same if the last government had done the same to you.

With comments like this, it is no wonder that the vast majority of the country hates Toronto.
Thats ok, they hate us because they are stupid. Without Toronto paying all their bills their lives would be 100x harder.

T.O.
Prime Minister Harper had held office just about as long as Prime Minister Chrétien, this was an election in many ways about the "ten year itch."
Appears Harper's Conservatives lost 85 seats, while the Liberals gained some 150.... seems like more than just an 'itch'.

Good speech by Trudeau, I liked his message, happy he is PM and hopeful for a better future for Canada. :thumb:

Now that Harper resigned as the Conservative government, major corporation will hire Harper as their board of director.

Harper was very antagonistic towards Wynne and Ontario in general.
Primarily because Wynne is bat shit crazy. Her lack of fiscal responsibility has destroyed Ontario, with no end in sight.

The silver lining of the Liberal victory will be if it forces Wynne to cancel the Ontario Pension Plan.
That was a guaranteed tax doomed to failure, with high administrative costs.

Yeah, except the Adumb Vaughn alternative isnt much better
I would disagree with that. I think Vaughn was a pretty solid city councillor. He was consistent, and he was always involved. He may have been a bit of a mouth piece, but in politics, you need to be. I'm glad Vaughn won.

Chow was just too much of an opportunist for a lot of people.

I watched Harper's concession speech and THEE number one thing that stuck me is how he repeated TWICE, "we live in a dangerous world". As if he was the only one capable enough to protect Canadians against the big bad bogeyman.

That in a nutshell reflects the core essence of Stephen Harper and his regime. "We live in a dangerous world." There is us and there is them. If you google Stephen Harper and "we live in a dangerous world" you will find that he has said that over and over and over again. He truly believes it and it defines him. It's how he thinks. Stephen Harper is more American than most Americans. His entire way of governing was based on fear and circling the wagons and it showed for the last 9 years.

Good riddance Stephen, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
